I never knew that about the fan! What speed do you have yours on? Thanks!
How long do you leave them the tomatoes and peppers in those containers before you size up? When you size up, how big do you move the transplant to?
Good idea with the fan.
Where do you get your light fixtures? I tried to tweet you, but I don't think it went through. Your enthusiasm is contagious!
Thank you for this. I just have black cherry tomatoes right now, but they are at this stage, and I was wondering if I could separate them at this stage. I planted them thicker than I normally would have because I was unsure how many would germinate…. Well all of them have. Also living in Michigan so having these videos with the plants so close to the stage that mine are, is really cool. Thank you. SG
Showing our age these young-uns will be making fun of us.
Do you grow hydroponically?
Thats nice. They look beautiful. I have 3 tomatoes and one cherry tomato. Keep up the great work.
Nice demo. Thanks for the tips!
Wow interested in your grow lights there! Do you have a vid on them?
I was taught that you shouldn't hold seedlings by stems but by leafs. Stem is a lot more brittle than leaf and when you brake it its game over. When you break leaf its ok.
It doesn't hurt them to transplant them before they get their true leaves? I hope not because I've already done mine like this…Thanks!
what type of soil mixture would you recommend for starting veggies? would it be okay to mix potting mix with coco peat for the seedlings?
I just came across your videos & I just want to say thanks! I have alot of veggies growing from seedlings now 🙂 I subb
excuse my ignorance, as am new to seed gardening,
but why didnt you just plant the seeds in the 72 cell tray from the beginning? one seed per tray. why plant them somewhere else, and then transplant them?
Thank you for the great advice on transplanting timatoes
You must have a huge garden for all those plants. Thank you for the video.
you should wait until the plants have one true set of leaves minimum to transplant. You are doing it too young. IMHO. Also, if they have true leaves you can use those to handle the plants instead of the stems.
Luvly video, now where are the seedlings happier after transplanting????? I've lost so many after transplanting them…..not sure why.. too wet, too hot, not enough sun…All unanswered questions…. I'm a first time gardener and struggling… Please advise…Thank you.
Why transplant at all? It might be a stupid question but what if only one seed is planted per cell right from the beginning?
Plants are awesome..
my plant has flower no tomota
this not not how to start them
they are to small to transplant and you are tearing the roots …..one seed per cell…if they are fresh seeds they will all come up ……guess you like to waste time transplanting
you're cute 🙂
How does burpee grow such strong stemmed plants?
ty for this i messed up didn't use cells now I have to transplant out of tupwrware containers I was worried ill try this now tyvm
The only thing I don't understand is why are you transplanting week tomatoes, from a bigger hole to a smaller one? Normally is to do the transplanting from a smaller container, to a bigger one…
This was unnecessary!
We have a compost area that has a ton of these little tomato plants. I wasn’t sure exactly how to to transfer them into a temporary tray until I stumbled over this demonstration. This is very helpful. Thank you for taking the time to show how to do this.
