Strawberries don’t grow vertically until now. I designed this vertical hanging grow system that can grow strawberries along a fence, on a wall, or in places you would otherwise not be able to grow something. We did it all for less than $75 too!

Can you give an update?!
Seems like this would be even better for lettuce/salad greens.
Good plan!!
that center bit you referenced is called a "mandrel"
Would they overwinter in these tubes or freeze ?
Went there chemicals in the cement and the PVC pipes that can leach into your berries?
Too complicated
How does this weather the winter. With temps dropping to -30F, I wonder if they will be harmed by the extreme cold?
Use that drill bit on a piece of wood and leave the wood cut in the bit. Keeps the bit from flying all over.
Will this work for zones that get cold with snow and freezing temperatures.
I think I'd hang it with chain,easier
How do you winter the berries over in a vertical planter, I am in zone 5b?
How do you keep the squirrels off the hangers?
Use garlic oil for mosquitos!
I love this idea!
I will do this to keep cats off my plants
Is it possible to grow spring onion in guttering
Try going in reverse with the bit, it won’t chew up the pvc smoother edges
What happened with the vertical strawberry system? Curious to hear since I'm considering myself.
I’m not a fan of those.
Being that the pvc is a plastic is that healthy for the plants ? Or the people digesting the plants ? Just out of curiosity
Are you still using this? Any new tips?
75 bucks lmfao, ill go buy a few berries for 20 bucks
Buddy stay inside u don't have a clue
Not very well explained as to how you attached this triple trellises to your fence. Also you never showed how you wanted these strawberry cuttings. Not a very well explaination as to how you grow these strawberry cuttings.
When its winter wont the roots be vulnerable?
Use a center drill in your hole saw!….
This will help it from walking!
Cool idea you have…
Do these dry out too fast in central Texas? Anyone try it? I have strawberries to plant and want to avoid pill bugs.
how do you water them
