  1. I do my baby back ribs the saaaaame way. If you make sure to peel off the membrane on the back they come out SO tender. Most of the time I just pull the bones out before I finish them in the oven.

    YES, continue more meal making. I love watching new creative meals. It gives me ideas too.
    And I am gonna grow a ton more yellow beans in my garden this year too to can. I grew some last year and they were so yummy.

  4. Becky, how do you store bulk flour, rice and beans? I remember you mentioning freezing something when you first get it. Does that kill any of the eggs that are in rice, beans, and flour?

  5. If you need a fast biscuit try Hillbilly Kitchens recipe for the two ingredient ones she makes..just self rising flour and cream…fast and so good.

    Yes more daily meals…..maybe some vegetarian meals…..using beans, or lentils as a protein…With the cost of food going up meat free meals awould help ease the budget…
    Have you ever dehydrated meats, eggs or precooked beans….? I’m wanting to prep some…..Suttons Daze has some good techniques for this but it’s always nice to have a variety of recipes..
    I’ve been baking banana bread and freezing it and putting it in my husbands lunch buttered and slices of sharp cheddar along with canned fruit.
    Have you successfully frozen unbaked biscuits or frozen homemade bread……
    On Amazon Kindle there is a book with many recipes for making your own pre measured mixes and it’s an old time book…..thought that would be some great ideas for placing in vac sealed jars.
    I’ve been cooking on my wood stove to save on electricity and it’s been fun…I place foil across the top to protect it from grease or food splatters. After the food gets hot I place it on a trivet then I put it back on the stove.if you don’t have one roll foil into a circle and place pot on top of it.
    There’s a baking dish wrap you can buy or sew that you put your hot container in and it finishes cooking without using the stove….
    I’ve made ribs in my instant pot. I first sautéed them and then add liquid and cook for 45 min depending how many ribs are in there…when done I pour sauce over them and broil or I use my outdoor grill and finish them off…so good. My instant pots are my new ways to cook, roast and bake I have racks and a pan that fits them and often I cook two dinners at once……

  6. I am aware that this is much later in RL, but even tho we don't do it a lot in western cuisine, but you can make lovely pork broth from such bones. My gran used that sometimes, especially for veggie heavy soups.

  7. I have really enjoyed the "what we eat in a week" and would love to keep seeing them on your channel even though the challenge ended!
