Becky gurl…..love your videos.
I sprout all my grains before grinding. It makes a huge difference in digestibility.
I'm a soap maker. I haven't bought commercial soap products in about 30+ years. Soaps I make. Olive oil for a Dr Bonner type soap. Basic pork lard soap for general cleaning and laundry soap. A coconut oil, jojoba, and safflower base for hair and body washes. My daughters swear by my acne soap- blend of oatmeal. aloe, lavender, and tea tree oil soap.
Enjoyed the video but how do you store your bulk purchases? Could you show that some time please. We live in the sub tropics and any attempt to buy in bulk like that results in a pantry full of ‘critters’!!!
@AcreHomestead look up Royalty Soaps here on YouTube, her soaps are wonderful and she has the recipe in her videos, I am sure you can do an all organic version if you want.
I just always make elderberry juice & freeze them in ice cube trays & keep in a baggie, get a couple out at a time, thaw & drink it.
That soap must not be very good if you’re using an entire sleeve in 6 months for two people
I loved watching your pantry challenge primarily because we’re a twosome as well so watching you has encouraged me to do my own pantry challenge. I’m going to do a reorganization of my freezers (3) this weekend as well as a detailed inventory. I’m hoping to start my challenge on Monday. Thanks for your awesome recipes and inventiveness!
YES to continuing meals of the week!!
Check out Royalty Soap on yt. She has some all natural with recipes. Plus she’s great to watch.
I love the "meals of the week"….please consider continuing them!!!!
I always love your enthusiasm!
With Your grow lights is it possible to over winter Tomato plants?,
You can start a pantry challenge anytime. No need to wait until next year.
We have very hard water and I only use Cascade Platinum, I have tried others and always go back as they clean my dishes and the glassware is clean and shiny and no left over food on my dishes .
I used my home canned goods and dis one shelf a week .
I made Honey Crisp Apple sauce , I used my electric roaster and had 14 pints from 15 pounds , my husband Loves it and uses 1/2 a pint for his lunch , this fall I will do at least 100 pounds if not 150 . All I did was core them and add brown sugar , cinnamon, vanilla and that was it . Then I cooked down then with a stick blender blended . It was so good.
Where is your apron from?
Polenta Croutons are good .
Pinterest is a good tool I use
Our family found ourselves in a situation where having a well stocked pantry and freezer would of help a lot. Here in Queensland, Australia, we have been flooded and the supermarkets have been empty. My husband was stood down, and has not worked in 3 weeks and counting. This is due to the floods, as he is a ferry captain and the infrastructure for the ferry services will be months to restore. Then our Jeep died, so we are without a car. Our yard, poultry pens and shed was flooded . We were fortunate, as we didn’t loose our home and everything in it, like thousands of other Australians. We are not suffering under the trails of War, like the poor people in Ukraine.
Definitely keep those weekly meals coming. Those are so awesome!.. i didnt do the pantry challenge this time, but I am planning on participating this next season.
As a fellow coffee drinker I can relate about coffee with half and half. My son says a get a bit cranky without it. Don't drink, don't smoke, what do you do? Wine with dinner and Half and half in my coffee. 😉
I guess this is more of a question towards your subscribers, but does the UK have a company like Azure where we can buy in bulk like this? (I know we have some costco's, but I am on the south coast and I don't have one within a decent driving distance)
I know I can get sacks of flour from Shipton Mill, but thinking more about pasta/ rice etc.
Hi Becky, love your videos. My almond milk hack would at least save you space. You can make it from almond butter so I use about a teaspoon and then water in my blender and blitz along with all the smoothie ingredients. There are recipes online if you want to be more precise with it.
I love your YouTube videos. You show actually real life videos that aren’t fake. I was wondering if you buy all your bulk cheeses from Azure or where do you buy them?
You can buy a good portion of the things that you mentioned at the Dollar Tree & save even more money!
For making soap – You may want to reach out to Meg from Hollar Homestead.
Great challenge! Becky, you learned quite a bit it sounds like, good for You! 🙂 Been a while since I stopped in Becky 🙁 Still packing for the Florida move this month, caring for the animals before the move and so on. Anywho, let me continue. Have a wonder weekend xo
I bet you can make your own dishwasher liquid/powder if you had too.
Are you excited to get gardening again? What is the biggest thing you will do differently? Actually, I think you mentioned this in one of your older vids..I'll have to check.
