You are a true MacGuyver Curtis. The master of improvisation.
Wow! i never even thought about making a greenhouse cover retractable!
What kind of metal pipe are you using for the rollup sides Curtis? Looks like they had in-built sleeves to connect together? Thanks in advance 🙂
you are a awesome guy , just brought your book and met a farmer who is also a fan of you and we are setting a plot starting this week , i'm so excited thank you for inspiring me
I understood everything until you actually rolled it up, how did it all go up so easily and even, and how did tying it down with that rope keep it from falling back down, totally confusing, well, for me that is 😛
Curtis, if you cut your wiggle wire in aboat 8" lengths, go down the sides w the shorter pieces, and hook your top layer w that, you skip every 2' and add a " piece of wiggle wire, you can actually have space in between the wiggle wire for air to blow up the lower section, won't have to use a channel that way
is the other side just feel to roll on its own? any latch for that side or holds itself?
We call it a Chop Saw
Curtis, where do you buy the wiggle wire and the channel? Green House Maga store cost almost $400 to ship to Toronto Canada.
How do you keep the plastic attached when not rolled up to minimize heat loss and wind damage?
Awesome. Thank you for this video!
Thanks Curtis..great idea…
Which plastic are you using?
Great stuff Curtis. Do you have any anti-billowing rope that you attach to that? We have a inflated plastic prop house and want roll-up sides on it but can't figure out how to get the zigzag string in there. Any ideas?
Instead of getting a custom crank, you can drill a hole in the end of the pipe and slip a rod through as a crank. One less tool to find or find a place for.
i think that kind of plastic perfect for my african violet greenhouse would you mind to tell me what kind of plastic is that?
You can go to woodprix if you would like to make it yourself guys.

Perfect. Just about to do this
Brilliant. I've only used the system where there's a wiggle wire track running along the entire length of the roll up tube. track is about $1 a foot so that's probably a lot more expensive that your little poly pipe plastic clip trick. Is it still holding up well after 3 years? Do you still like this system for your roll up sides?
If you roll it up the other direction, then the water won't get trapped in there and cause mold and mildew. The water will run right over the top and not down inside the roll.
What is supporting the pipe on the opposite end of the crank? I followed everything until that moment.
What is the size of the steel tubing you're using?
awesome tip!
question: would this work also with a double poly greenhouse?
How is the other side connected? If you have helped sharing all sides instead of just partial. Nice video but not very helpful. Thank you
