no yard no car no south patio or windows no tools no outdoor water no friends interested….joined a comm garden this year to garden and found them to be wanting my volunteer hours to be used BAKING so I quit…have decided to POSSIBLY grow microgreens sprouts and indoor herbs:)
Great idea. Thanks
omg you are everywhere lol – youre basically my garden bff ahahah
Excited about this series Luke.
Good video, but the coir costs something, and the compost will cost something for someone who doesn't have the space for a compost pile, plus the trifecta…
I live in an apartment…. my balcony gets no light…. we get very little light at sunrise and at sunset we get a little more. What are some good tips to still grow my own herbs and veggies?
Quick water tip for just about anyone but apartment types specifically. Use a bucket to collect the water in your shower that is just wasted while waiting for it to warm up. You should get more than enough to water plants.
Super cute. Small for kids garden s too.
novice grower here, this is actually my first year of attempting. So i got a question, how do you harvest them ? does it mean you'll just eat all that and have to get more plants to put back into the soil? lol sorry silly question but I need to know !
That's not a raised bed, it's a container garden.
This is a great video! Could you use Styrofoam coolers with holes poked in the bottom? I have a few just sitting in storage.
…someone else that enjoys hearing himself talk
It's way better to grow lettuce by seed, because it's cheaper and you can also be sure that there won't be any pesticides used on your plants.
I love this! So quaint! Great Job Luke and Cindy
I got free 5 gallon buckets from the Albertsons bakery.
Found a heavy duty box to fit in my antique wheel barrow. This year this baby is going to produce and look great! Thanks from Maine.
Absolutely love the channel Luke! Instantly a favorite! In regards to raised beds, do u have any worries about using treated wood when growing vegetables? Leaching, chemicals, etc. Thanks!
Cute idea, but I literally called every grocery store in Colorado Springs and they said they only get fruit in wax-coated paper boxes. Many of them had never even heard of such a thing!
What is best weed tarp? Some of that is very expensive.
I don’t see where you only spend $2? The soil isn’t cheap…I’ve spent so much on soil so far. The only thing that is cheap is top soil but there’s no nutrient. Compost I can get free but how do you know where it comes from and if it has nutrients. So you still have to buy soil that you know has nutrients.
A friend took an old bookcase and laid it flat creating a compartmentalized raised bed. It seemed like a nice way to up cycle.
How do you take care of drainage with that? I want to make this for my herbs 🙂
container free. seeds $2 Soil, fertilizer, worm castings $25 There went my $2 budget
Doesn't that landscape fabric hold too much water though? Bad for drainage?
As someone who has spent over $300 this year on gardening products. You've just saved me!
Can I use plastic FICO or plastic boxes?
