  1. I had those ramen noodles at my daughters house last month. They are pretty good. I like adding broccoli, cauliflower & red pepper flakes to mine. The downside, they’re made in China!! I really watch labels. More and more of (grocery store);foods are coming from there. Crazy!

  2. Today I went thrifting. I know you can share my excitement (most of my real friends just don't understand) at finding a never used Squeezo Strainer with all metal parts. $7 at Deseret Industries. I've been watching the utensil section ever since I heard you recommend the beef masher. I found one today that has straight blades not curved like yours but for 69 cents what do I have to lose? I also picked up 15 mason jars at Goodwill.

  3. Organic valley makes a HWC with nothing but cream (not the ultra pasteurized)… the ultra pasteurized HWC has gellan gum and is used to help prevent the cream from clumping. It is used in a very small amount, and is a polysaccharide derived by microbial fermentation of sugar… this is from their site in response to customer inquiry.

Although , it might be cheaper than azure’s cream it’s not going be cheaper than buying sour cream already prepared.

  4. I don't understand why in America they put in so many additives in food products. When you said about the cream I went online and looked at my supermarkets (I live in the UK) and no where does it say about any additives in our dairy products. And you can get cream for like a £1 for 300ml and about £1.70 for 600ml. I can't get my head round how huge the difference is.

  5. i hit the half price section first – i watch for marked down fruits and veggies – there is usually on shelf you find them on in ours. i also calculate lowest cost of each item before buying – lowest cost bacon may or may not be the house brand. i tweak recipes to use what i have left – i.e – crackers to subsitute for bread srumbs

  6. My sister will heat seal the chips into meal size bags. She'll either cut a piece of paper and write the brand, flavor and exp date to go into the bag or write what it is on the outside. Depending on what type of bag she's using will determine how they are labeled as some can be washed and reused and others can't. I so need to replace my broken heat sealer!

  7. They have this winery next to where I moved where they would fit your biodynamic for wine. They make a bottle with no electricity, all natural yeast, and then they go as far as distributing by horse and buggy to the Willamette river and canoe to Portland where they drop it off at the distributor. By down obviously downstream not south. I haven’t tried it yet as it’s $75 but I suppose I can pay a smaller fee for a taste test.

  8. Hi Becky! I use regular pure cream to make my sour cream (I was inspired after watching you!). I found a full 24 hour ferment is needed to thicken it up beautifully, but it tastes soooo good! I’d recommend just buying whatever pure cream you can and fermenting it longer to get a thicker result ❤️
