  2. I just made strawberry honey butter. Of course my plants not enough for anything but fresh eating, but my local farmers had plenty! Great series Jeff.

  3. I have an old bed of strawberries that I heavily mulch in the fall to let just hopefully the strongest ones to come up in the spring. It’s probably 12 years old now. Once a plant stops producing and stops making runners can it come back into production by digging up and making sure it’s just one plant and not on a runner? Or do they simply have a lifespan?

  4. My zucchinis keep rotting even before they flower. this happens to all my zucchini plants and because of that, i only got a few zucchinis. What do i do? Could this be a watering issue?

  5. We didnt any strawberries at all this year – dud harvest. Sigh.
We've had the same plants for the last 4 years, time for new I suspect? Even the suckers from last year or two produced nothing.

  6. OK I need to vent and I thought this was the perfect place to vent about some thing that has been bothering me and hopefully someone can give me advice on what I’m about to write so I live in San Fernando Valley and I live with my partners parents and from my knowledge and from what I’ve heard in the news we are in a drought so I’ve been trying to conserve water as much as possible but it seems like The drought restrictions do not apply to my partner’s mother she has been watering constantly almost every single day for two hours straight without any breaks sometimes she leaves the water running while she goes to do something else I have talked to my partner about this and I have told her about this I have told her that we need to conserve water because we are in a drought and it seems like it does not apply to her because she Waters every other day for two hours straight I have timed this and that’s how I know she has done it for two hours straight without concern without thinking about her husband that works his butt off to pay the water bill and all bills in between unfortunately it’s not my place to speak up about this issue but if it was up to me I would look for a lock to lock The hose somehow. Almost forgot to say that she also over water my tomato plant I will water the tomato plant one day and make sure the tomato plant gets plenty of water and then she’ll come the next day and re-water the tomato plant way more than it needs to and I don’t know what to do about it I have spoken directly to her but she seems not to comprehend anything I tell her because she keeps doing it
