Self Sufficient Me is based on our small 3-acre property/homestead in SE Queensland Australia about 45kms north of Brisbane – the climate is subtropical (similar to Florida). I started Self Sufficient Me in 2011 as a blog website project where I document and write about backyard food growing, self-sufficiency, and urban farming in general. I love sharing my foodie and DIY adventures online so come along with me and let’s get into it! Cheers, Mark 🙂

Hi Mark, You are always saying what health bennifits we get out of raising and eating our own food. That is an understatement in my book. I have Multiple Sclerosis I have always had a garden some over time was only buckets with dirt but they were a garden of sorts, I grew up on a farm where we raised 99% of our food, in Wyoming USA I had a 30 ft. by 50 ft. greenhouse because we had only 30 days of growing season. Whenever we bought our food from the grocery stores I always hit the Produce section and bought as much as I could afford, I now have an acre and Arkansas USA has seven months of growing season. I've always managed my MS, and one of my trips to see my head Neurologist he told me that whatever I was doing to keep doing it because it was the only thing that was keeping me going. My husband was diagnosed with Leukemia and after 10 years of being in remission his Dr. Told him that whatever you are doing to keep it up. Fifteen years later he is still in remission. I am a prim cannidate for Diabetis but I have no problem with sugar as well as many other things that are senior related. I just thank God that I have my garden and Mark you can thank God for you Garden as well. I only wish I could raise everything that you do. I'm afraid that if I were you next door neighbor you and I would have a food growing compitition. Thank you my dear friend for being an example for those that need a little or a lot of advice Its what the world needs. Jessie Arkansas USA
This guy is a Climate Change-denying fraud.

With Bill Gates buying farmland at high speed. And if you research his role in every aspect of our lives including the recent world "event" (2020) it is imperative that people start leaving their "city prison cells" (apartments and houses in the cities) and get farms to become self-sufficient. What happens if food runs out? What if you have the money but your local market got looted in a crisis? You need to produce enough to survive for some times. In order to create a radical change in our society, there will be crisis because people surrender their will to those in power in exchange for protection, so the crisis is coming. Get self-sufficient.
I love your channel so much.
Oh boy i hope you keep telling those awful dad jokes and cringy puns that's all we want (beside vegetables) !
