;( my 1st one is 2 & half feet tall with 4 med leaves @ VERY top. Did i doom my 1st avocado plant or can someone help me get to save him? fyi: still in water, was going to transplant into soil today. Thank u, Sincerely, Tamara Towne
hi, thanks for the video. i`m looking for the correct way of cutting back the young tree and somewhere read that at 6-7 inches to cut in back to 3. sounds like they`re saying to just lop off the entire top of the little tree. that doesn`t sound right. here you`re showing to just pinch one top leaf if looks like. is it true that you can completely cut off the top leaving no leaves at all and new leaves and branches will sprout? thanks for any further help with this question.
Hello, I am trying to figure out how short to cut back my avocado plant. It is 16 inches tall and starting to lean a little. It has plenty of leafs. Any suggestions?
Hi, as a missionary serving in india I was blessed to find avocado at a supermarket abt 30km from where I live. I heard avocados are doing well in Kerala which is on the south east of india. I successfully got 4 trees growing. All are about 2 months old. Can I expect fruit bearing as they are growing in containers. I don't have land space. Also since I don't have a mature fruit bearing tree to try a graft or abstain a scion, what can I do to help my trees.
My avocado was just fine until I tried this and it turned black and died 🙁 I have no idea why
I have a question. My avocado plant got to 2 ft tall and is now about two and a half feet tall before I learned that I had to pinch the top off. The wind blew the top off and it is still pretty spindly looking should I just cut the top off and see what happens?
My stem is purple but leaves green. Any ideas? Looks healthy otherwise and very strongly rooted
My avocado plant is about 6 months old, and it only has 8 leafs and I have prune the tip of my avocado plant the other day. Thanks
Hi. I have a skinny avocado plant a foot tall. In a small pot. Would it be ok if I bought a very large pot . Size of a toilet but not as high. 16” circumference. And let my plant grow into it so I don’t have to repot? I will put stones on the bottom for good drainage. I doubt it will ever produce fruit because it’s indoors. I just don’t want to throw out a live plant. Thank you.
2 Peter 1: 17 He received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, "This is my Son, whom I love, with him I am well pleased".
Can you please direct me to the other videos that follow this. I do not see them in your videos. Thanks
I started my Avacado about 2 months ago and its already 18 inches without leaves yet. It looks like its going to start sprouting leaves at the top. Will cutting it kill it? It grew so Fast! I was hoping it wouldn't grow to tall.
Hi Huw, Thanks for your video…Just wondering if its possible to grow fruit from a potted Avocado seed? I have grown plants from Avocados bought in the Grocery Store but have not been able to grow fruit…Do you have any insights on this? Thanks Much–Mark
My wife has grown one but it's too tall, so I'll pass on the info. Diolch Huw
thanks huw!
I think I messed mine up! Only three leaves grew at the top and I read to cut the trunk in half … there are no leaves left…! Will it sprout new leaves again?
