Ever wonder what it is like to just hang around all day using someone else? We are not talking about that annoying friend that uses you for free rides in your car but doesn’t pay you for gas, we are talking about epiphytes and their very ‘clingy’ habits.

When I was down in Florida, I noticed a TON of Spanish Moss. I was told by my host that the trees have been suffering because of it. Could you please explain?
Levi Explains is so awesome. Thanks Levi. Always great to watch.
Epiphytez be like, can I live in this tree armpit? Sweet.
You are acting like the epiphytes are just "hanging around to collect the rainwater", but those mooching hanger-ons, once they invite all their epiphytic "friends, can get so massive that they can block the sunlight to the foliage of whatever plant they are using to hang out on – You are simply gliding over that fact – I don't know if it is intentional or not, but if you ignore that crucial fact, then this will simply go on unabated.
