I LOVE your channel! So inspirational!
I heard one mom talking to another mom to be. Fantastic!
I'm just so happy that you just let the mamma do her thing without everybody around laughing and squealing. You show so much respect and consideration for Maggie. It doesn't matter how close a human is to their goat, it's important to give a labouring mamma her space. Also love that you don't panic and make sure they're nursing within 5 minutes like some do. Love it.
So thankful you filmed this…such a beautiful moment. Such precious babies!
Hurray for a doe year. our first kidding was triplet doelings. Congrats Maggie and Jess.
I subscribed to you for plant videos and im soooo glad that I found your page and see that you post all types of "farm life" videos!! Love your channel, new fan of your channel here!!!
Oh Jess!!!! What a blessed event to get to see. I just love how you talked to that Mama and reacted when that first baby was born. I'm so excited I got to see this!!
Hi, there! Love that you have goats. I used to have a couple, but where I'm at now I share fencing with a neighbor and it wouldn't work right now. Anyway, as for you mostly having doelings I found this interesting (very old) post on a Homesteading Today forum. (Sorry, but don't know who posted it.) Here's that posters info on getting more doelings in your herd. Does this make sense? Hope it helps! "There was a informal study done on a goat dairy in the early 80's. Does that were bred once at the onset of heat and not rebred had 70 does to 30 bucks. Does that were bred multiple times through their heat or once at the end of heat were more likely to have bucks. Pen breeding still made a rough 50/50 ratio.
The egg is not released until the end of heat. The male sperm swim fast and die young, and the female sperm are slower but live longer. If the doe was only bred once at the beginning of the heat, many of the male sperm will have died off by the time the egg is available for fertilization."
Benjamin, is so adorable. He reminds me of my precious grandson, twenty years ago. What a great kid.
"Is that your listening face?" Lol…..I love it. I always made sure my kids held eye contact with me, when I was conveying something important. Such a good mama.
Ben can get a mini high tunnel using cattle panel arches ☺️
This was amazing to watch. THANK YOU!
"is that your listening face?" haha
Why is the preference for females? Sorry new to this. I have always interested in adopting Nubian goats.
birth is such a miracle. thanks for sharing!
Are your Carhartt overalls women's or men's? It looks like the women's ones are cheaper, but I'm wondering if the quality is as good?
God bless your ever growing family!! Loved this and shared with my 8 under 10 nieces and nephews. I’m in the country but they’re in NYC.
Thank you for sharing this with us. I’ve never seen an animal give birth before. I agree, it was disgusting but beautiful.
I have watched cattle give birth and talked just like you did, Jes. Wow, that was cool, the kids are so big compared to the momma. Thanks for sharing that with us, I really enjoyed it! Congratulations!
I just want her beanie collection – a hat for every occasion 🙂
This is my first kidding season and I’m so scared but everything you are explaining is so helpful to me. I can not thank you enough!!
Jeremiah said it's like when kids do what? I couldn't hear.
"Its disgusting but its beautiful"
That was a surprising but great comment from such a young person!
That was beautiful! I was wondering where little Ben was when Maggie was giving birth?
Fantastic birth to witness
Thank you
Such a loving mommy
