Reunited with my oldest friend after 37 years
It can be intimidating to start a greens garden, especially in the middle of summer! In this video, I show you how to start two types of kale and pak choy, transplant them, and fertilize a garden. It’s packed with little tips and tricks that help me make starting seeds and transplanting easy. This video…
A little on the progress this year. A bad potting mix has set me back. Will be re-potting some things with my original mixture of compost and manure. Also a bit on a cherry harvest and tree pruning.
Part 2 of garden progression and planning.
Walk through of half of the Garden beginnings and it’s progression.
Video on the work at home will come later but for now I am resuming work at the property away from home
Finally began bed prep on the separated properties. Slow but started. Finishing the grow room video I started last week. This time with the positive stuff.
The weather has not cooperated this year. Not really a surprise. The grow room has had disasters and successes. It has only served to convince me that I must concentrate on developing a small greenhouse for propagation purposes.
Just about ready to get more set out. I have a pepper problem I hope someone can help with.
This video will self destruct after a few days. Not the type of video I want to leave up long.

Starting the 2017 garden season. It is slow going but will pick up speed. So far we have peas and beets in the ground and a few broccoli seedlings to first test out the cold frame.
A simple install turns into a nightmare!
Had not planned on making a third video for this subject of beginning gardening but a few comments on the other two and prepping for this years garden brought to mind a couple more

Getting a bit of an early start this year. Had hoped to get Eggplant/aubergine but am out of seeds. Must order. Have many new ideas this year to try out.
2016 was not so good for us. Dreadful, Furchtbar, awful, Schwerig! Good riddance! Things are evening out in our lives and hopefully will be looking up soon. I have finally recovered well enough from my long illness that I can go back to work at least part time. More on that later. We have a…
I had many appointments last week and did not get much accomplished. Hopefully more to come.
First cold frame build. Next one should be a bit easier now that I know how I want them. The video starts out a bit slow.
Property overgrew badly while I was ill for several months. Starting over.
What better way to grow air plants than to actually levitate them in the air! I was sent a LYFE planter from the guys over at FLYTE and wanted to do a quick unboxing video and show you the planter in action. It’s sitting on my desk as we speak and is a fantastic way…
Old beds re-made and garden terraced. Realized I had re-learned an old lesson.
Pruning basil to promote growth is one of the easiest and best ways to have an unlimited supply of basil in your garden. Basil absolutely loves aggressive pruning, so with a few clever techniques it’s simple to create basil that is bushy, productive, and delicious. In this video, you will learn where to prune your…
Made some modifications to my greenhouse to stop it collapsing under rain. Have harvested the last of our apples and preparing to make apple sauce, apple butter, jelly and dehydrating.
Extremely overworked during the early part of the year. Mainly due to an inability to organize by the boss. Middle part of the year very ill due to the overwork…etc. Garden and self sufficiency efforts suffered greatly this year. Will not happen again! In spite of this I still managed some things. Preparing now for…
Finally chiming in on this longtime argument of people making money on Youtube.
If you have ever wondered what the big grubs are in your compost…they’re maggots. But more specifically, they’re the larvae of the Black Soldier Fly, and they’re actually not THAT bad for your compost…unless you have a lot of them.
