  1. Hi Huw – I really like your interview series.  Its great to spotlight a great gardening channel such as @OneYardRevolution , definitely one of my favorites.  Its interesting to hear Patrick's gardening philosophy  and see how he reflects this in his videos.  Nice job to the two of you!

  2. Huw, what you are doing in your garden is fantastic! What you are doing in the gardening community here on YouTube is extremely generous and informational. We can help each other spread a better message about how to become better caretakers of our environment. Growing our own food is way more than just getting tomatoes from the backyard. It is fundamental to appreciating who we are and what blessings we have.

  3. Hi,tks for yr videos. Could you please give advise on how and when is the best time to do hybrid rose and collect seeds and again when to plant the seeds in Finland's weather condition as winter is pretty much longer.hope to get some advice soon.madu

  4. As a white African farmer here in Florida now, I remember my mother
and her fabulous tea roses, orchard, perennials, vines and arbors and
you are an inspiration, because you don't look scripted. The videos are
real, genuine and from the heart and I like that.
Thank you, I have a micro-green business in Summerfield, Florida,
selling to restaurants, farmers markets and local supermarkets and doing well,
I get some good ideas from your gardening tips and presentation,. keep it up,
we enjoy your down home, neighborly way! Also love your music intro!

  5. Without expecting you to disclose personal information Huw, ….Is that your garden right at the start of the vid and could you give me some idea of where it is please?     it looks rather like my neck of the woods which is Dorset

  6. Hey mate. I have just purchased my first house and I have quite a large front and back garden. I want to start off with a couple of raised beds and a few pots. I was thinking potatoes, carrots lettuce and general hers. What would you recommend to start off with.

  7. I made over two cubic metres of compost last season simply by not putting out anything from the garden for green collection, collecting autumn leaves and making a few runs to a local stables to source horse manure. This is enough to serve a 50sqm urban no dig garden in NW London without any need to buy in compost or fertiliser (see http://www.urban-no-dig.com ).

My garden is also shady and I can confirm that leaves do well in shade, notably chicory lleaves, endive, kale, spinach, sorrel and lettuce.

  8. I really enjoy watching your videos. I hope you keep making more. And Patrick, I try growing kale every year, but it gets eaten by bugs, how do you keep them off of yours?
