I wipe my rims with vinegar. You said you processed your tomatoes, from what I understood that meant taking the skin off and cutting them into quarters. Are they still raw when you place them in the jars?
THANK YOU for doing it the safe way. There's so many tomato canning recipes on YT where they either don't add acid, or don't process them in the canner (or both??!! yikes) and it's just so so dangerous. It's easy to do it safely, so thank you again for making sure that it is. 🙂
Tomatoes get used fastest for me too … then apple sauce … LOVE home canning.

glad I watched these. Guess you'd do rotel tomatoes the same if you had the fresh vegetables.
Why do you use lemon juice? I have never used that. I only use salt.

I am just starting…I read to " finger tighten " the lid…you really cranked that lid…was that too tight or ok
