Mold will do you in. There is no way I would live with that mold in my home. The bible talks about in the OT about if you find mold in a home to remove it. If after a while it is still there, you tear the house down. Mold is that critical. Sound like you need a mediator with your father in law. Isn't life fun 🙂
If I was me, I would go back and buy what you want. I had to have surgery on my sphenoid sinus. It is behind my left eye. Cause from mold exposure. They though it was cancer and a tumor filling up the entire area. I am much better now. But get sick when mold levels are high still. So it is worth every penny not to expose the family to risk. What I do with my ……….. is say ok ok ok. Then do it my way.
Work that you could have done in one day has now turned into TWO WEEKS?!! But i gotta admire ya for not letting your temper get the best of you,…its COOL that you're very considerate of your father-in-law, since like ya tell us, he's really a great guy, just has to do stuff 'his way'. p.s. reminds me of Paula's(gardeningwithpuppies)of a time when her dad would plant some plant in one space and then her granddad would replant it somewhere else, don't remember it that well, but at the end both of 'em laughed it off!
Oh gosh that sounds terrible. Next time don't mention any home improvement projects. That kind of help you can do without. I read the comment below about how it is like that video I did about my dad and grandfather. It is really hard to compromise sometimes, especially when the other person doesn't know what they are doing.

What if you wiped it down with bleach, or diluted bleach? It's already damp…a little more might help.
