Hope there's not one in already ;o)
Also hope the birds leave the nets alone !
All too easy Mark.. Hope you get a great crop mate..
Cheers..
Good seeing you do that. I don't have soft skinned fruit except for paw paw. I have to remove them at the first sign of yellow or the bats get them.
Thanks for the info on the fruit saver net. There is hope for my cherries yet!!
I hope the nets do the business for you Mark. Great tip so many thanks as ever for sharing your great knowledge. All the best.
Very cool, Mark! Man I know it has to be a pain to have to deal with those pesky fruit flies, but it looks like you have matters well in hand!
That should work out real well for you, Mark. You made it look easy.
Cheers Mark. I only put my apple in this year so it's a way off producing anything. Your's looks great though, how long has it been in the ground? Thanks for the tip on covering the tree. My mango looks to have another bumper crop this year but is way too big to net. They seemed to leave them alone last year so fingers crossed. Good luck with the apples mate.
Great tip on putting nets on your own…I'm almost all the time alone in the garden, just scratching my head! Hope you get a great crop this year Mark, cheers!
Hey Mark, good luck with the nets. They should work well. If they do last 10+ years it is a good investment. Those fruit flies are real menace. My insect nets are on the way for my vegetable garden. Great video and good luck mate 🙂 Cheers
Sir, what size net did you use for that tree? I've got to look for a follow-up vid from you to find out if this worked. Thank you!
Hi Mark, do they sell fine net curtains over There? It might be cheaper. You could sew some together to make it bigger, possibly attaching some kind of small weights onto two corners to throw over the tree.
or maybe not. probably not strong enough.
don't know about fruit flies but codling moths would lay their eggs on the leaves through the net
great sir i m dd thakur from india kullu manali
i find the weaker branches break when it rains due to the extra weight of the rain soaked net?
Thanks Mark i enjoy all your clips and like all of them very informative from a fellow Qld’er
Thanks. I got good information from you.
Did this work? Do you think it would keep squirrels off?
Did the net work, Mark? I used fruit fly net bags over my persimmons and they worked quite well, although I found they did mark the skin with “tan lines”
How did it work out?
Forgot young mark !
Excellent thanks. I don't have bird netting so grabbed my spare shade cloth to keep the birds off my plums. Hope the plums still ripen lol
