We’ve gotten some of our seedlings out and waiting on the others to grow large enough to survive. NOW, we start on property cleanup and, following that, improvements that will assist in the efficiency of next year. Part of that means chipping and shredding all the cuttings for compost and mulch which will be allowed to age for about 6 months then spread over the beds for winter. During this time we will attempt to design the property with more beds, hugel mounds and get more trees, bushes and perennial plants in. Several building prjects are also in mind. Hope I can get to all of them.

The more I see your wood chip mulch, the more I know I have to have a shredder. The compost in the terraced area looks really good. Was that the mushroom compost that you got?
