Nice pea harvesting tips, Huw!
If you don't mind, I would like to add my 2 cents:
I also use the pods (after removing the peas).
I slice them (roughly), cook them and freeze 'em for future stews, soups, out-of-nothing-dishes….

Much appreciation for your videos and info. Thank you.
Could you do a video on how to know when carrots are ready to harvest?
great tips and knowledge.
Great Peas harvest Huw . Thanks for the tip. I enjoyed the time lapse too.
I sowed some snap pea seeds out side at the end of July , all of the seedlings have come up . I know I sowed them a little bit late however , do you think I would get a harvest,
I am located in east London.
Your posts have been a lot less than usual and I understand that your getting older and might have more important obligations, I guess I just wanted to know if your alright? If you move on with your life I'd like to thank you for improving mine with your videos. John.
what editing equipment do you use hew? id like to start my own little channel with the growth of my garden
Peas are great for complextion and I think they are great for relaxation too…I don't remember…besides I think metabolism as far as electrolites and metabolites are concerned.. Yah, full of a lot of vitamins…..up to greter than 45% of some of the vitamins that you'd require per day and it averages out at 15% (I'm not using math…just glancing…haha) ..and minerals at about 10%…
Becareful with the soil you deal with and it should be from the UK and not imported…..and when you're a farmer it's as good as being a maid, the Iron Maiden, the Virgin etc…so not much social contact.
ooo! tasty nitrogen fixers
what if you want to keep some to use as seeds for next season???

Great stuff mate, growing peas for the first time this year, loads of pods but wasn鈥檛 certain about when to harvest so this is great advice, thank you!
Huw how many peas did you get to the plate ? I bet you eat a few whilst picking them I know I eat quite a few fresh from the pod. I use not only the peas but I also make pea pod wine from the pods
very helpful thank you.
An oldie but a goodie! I know you posted this video 5 years ago but it's proven very helpful for me today, as I'm about to harvest my first peas. Wish me luck!
Thankyou!
Can I eat the skin as well?
Very helpful thank you
I planted a bunch of peas and one of the eight plants has blossomed and produced some very nice peas. The others are slightly behind and all just flowered. I'm curious to know if you pick peas off of a plant and there's still time in the season will it produce more pods or that's it?
Very helpful!
