VIDEO: When to Harvest Peas

Today’s edition of Tuesday Tips we are going back2basics and looking at how we can tell when peas are ready for harvesting. This is followed by a time-lapse of our climbing beans. If you have a spare minute please take a look at my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/HuwsGardenNursery

  1. If you don't mind, I would like to add my 2 cents:
I also use the pods (after removing the peas).
I slice them (roughly), cook them and freeze 'em for future stews, soups, out-of-nothing-dishes….
    🙂
Much appreciation for your videos and info. Thank you.

  2. I sowed some snap pea seeds out side at the end of July , all of the seedlings have come up . I know I sowed them a little bit late however , do you think I would get a harvest,
I am located in east London.

  3. Your posts have been a lot less than usual and I understand that your getting older and might have more important obligations, I guess I just wanted to know if your alright? If you move on with your life I'd like to thank you for improving mine with your videos. John.

  4. Peas are great for complextion and I think they are great for relaxation too…I don't remember…besides I think metabolism as far as electrolites and metabolites are concerned.. Yah, full of a lot of vitamins…..up to greter than 45% of some of the vitamins that you'd require per day and it averages out at 15% (I'm not using math…just glancing…haha) ..and minerals at about 10%…

  5. Becareful with the soil you deal with and it should be from the UK and not imported…..and when you're a farmer it's as good as being a maid, the Iron Maiden, the Virgin etc…so not much social contact.

  6. Huw how many peas did you get to the plate ? I bet you eat a few whilst picking them I know I eat quite a few fresh from the pod. I use not only the peas but I also make pea pod wine from the pods

  7. I planted a bunch of peas and one of the eight plants has blossomed and produced some very nice peas. The others are slightly behind and all just flowered. I'm curious to know if you pick peas off of a plant and there's still time in the season will it produce more pods or that's it?
