  1. I cook (bake) my bacon in the oven as well. I have a half sheet pan, line it with parchment and it turns out great every time. Less shrinkage, stays flat, no splatter burns, and I can cook it all at once. I canned up 14 pints of ends and pieces for bean seasoning and just bout a case to wrap and can in quart jars. Love to hear the little doobies cheeping in your background. Keep up the good work!! Thanks for the video's.!

  2. I watched Misty Prepper's video. She mentioned that the instructions call for two sheets of parchment paper, but because of the cost of the paper, she uses one sheet. Did you use one or two sheets? Can't wait to give this a try. Thank you so much for the video.

  3. I CANNED BACON ENDS AND PIECES ABOUT 4 MONTHS AGO CANT WAIT TO TRY THEM I SEPARATED ALL THE BIG PIECES OF FAT AND CANNED THEN BY THEMSELVES NOW I HAVE A PINT OF CANNED BACON GREASE 9 PINTS ENDS AND PIECES. LOVE VIDEOS KEEP THEM UP

  4. I'm heartbroken also that all of Misty Prepper vids are no longer available. She had so many. And I also wish I had her cookbook, but have no idea how to get one now or if it's even available. She had a wealth of information she had shared. Sure do miss her. Thanks Patara for sharing this.

  5. Check out the Ball Pint-and-half wide mouth canning jars. I think you'll have an easier time getting the bacon out as these jars are as tall as the quarts but have the diameter of the pints and straight sides. Because there's less air in the jar there might be some canning time adjustments. Check with Ball as I have no experience with bacon. But I love these jars for storing brown sugar or raisins. I line the jar with wax paper (my paper of choice, you use what you like) and if the brown sugar or raisins gets hard just pull on the paper and the brick just slides out. Easy. Peasy. No shoulder to have to work around.

  6. So glad someone finally shows the end product. Was reluctant to do this but I think I'll give it a try. Much cheaper then a 25 dollar can of Yoders.

  7. I cook my bacon in the oven also and have for years. Haven't tried canning it, because I only had a water bath canner, buy I now have a pressure canner. Thank you for your video!

  8. I canned raw pack bacon a couple months ago. I opened up a jar this morning and when i picked up the bacon, the fatty parts fell apart only leaving pieces of meat. Has anyone else had this happen? I put up 5 lbs of this bacon and am not sure it's ok to eat. Please get back to me. Yes, it smells fine but…
