VIDEO: Trading Eggs For… A Goat? Welcome Baby Moses! ~

Another journey has begun at Appalachia’s Homestead! Welcome our baby Moses! He is our new Nubian/Kiko buckling so that we can begin expanding our goat herd. We got him from a wonderful homesteading friend. It truly goes to show that your homesteading community and friends matter. We help each other in making our homesteads successful! Enjoy & thanks for watching! xo

  1. What an absolute doll! Thank you for sharing him with us. Congratulations on your new family member. My husband has said absolutely not to goats (but he said absolutely no chickens too lol and we have two chicks in my bathtub) Blessings and Hugs from Texas

  2. Not to be a negative or anything, but be careful with the Bucks. I had a Boer Buck and he was the best until about 1 year old, then he started protecting his own and, well, being a male! If you have any children be carful with them.
I love goats! I think there the best, especially the females! I have a female and she has enough personality to be a dog!xD.
Btw that was a most beautiful song!

  3. Your friend does not dehorn? My dairy goats are all dehorned. For safety and so you don't find one hanging in a fence, dead. Plus a Nubian Buck gets really big. They can cause a whole lot of hurt when they go into rut. Good luck.
