Patara I am a Saigon to be new chicken owner. Love your video. I have learned lots. What is the ratio for cord and apple cider vinegar do you use?
Hi, Patara! 🙂 Is your Facebook group still taking on members? Thanks!
I have a question for you with a chicken coop a small one can I put screening on the bottom or like a thin fencing so this way there poop goes out
I would add a dog crate for when you need to isolate a chicken/rabbit or bring them inside.
I use the same but I keep a few diapers for large wounds. My vet recommended them and they work great for drawing the "wet" infection and stuff away.
I would be very interested to see a similar video for your goat care. You are super far south from my home in Northern MN, so your worming and vaccination schedule would likely be different than mine, but I am still very very interested in the products you use.
Thanks for explaining why/when you use Blu-Kote. I haven't used it before because I didn't think it was necessary but it makes sense to cover the red color. Thanks again. Glad to hear Mr. Rooster is doing better.:)
What mask do you use to clean coop?
What amounts and how often do you feed the animals the food grade DE?
The Vetericyn is like magic water! I've even used it on myself. Great stuff!
There is a duck grower that uses the pink eye spray on wounds. any ideas on that?
I was told that DE has a tiny sharp things in it that could hurt the birds?
love this video!!!! great information for a newbie like me!!!!!
Thanks. We already have the Blue Kote, and added the Vetericyn . We will be getting the rest soon. Well, I walked into the barn today & WOW, a chicken had a big knot on it's wing, feathers had been pulled out. I took her into the house & got to work. This is not our first time, I found an injured chicken, but, I was more ready this time. The first time, was when I found out, that the chickens are attracted to the blood, by researching how to take care of the poor thing. We will be getting the list, thanks for posting it.
Thanks for all the hints.
And everyone needs to know where the first aid box is kept
Wow! Great video; Great advice.
I have all of these. Only thing I'd add is tylan. Saved many birds for me.
Great video! I have a somewhat sick hen and am not sure what to treat with? She was listless one day, laid around alone, no appetite, drank a lot of water, and had green watery poop. After that day, she''s no longer listless, her appetite is better (although not eating her laying pellets), she's ranging with the others, however her poop is still green and watery. This has been going on for several days now. ANY advice would be greatly appreciated!
Your the BEST!!! Thank YOU!!! <3
Next to your "don't bite off more than you can chew" and "be realistic" reminders, this is one of the most important, ABSOLUTE MUST SEE videos you've done!!!
can I use the corid for my five month old hen
There should be a first aid box for people as well as animals, each clearly marked, and set next to one another. Everybody should know where they are located. The reason is often when animals are injured, the people caring for them tend to get injured.
Love this!
Thank you, we are trying to decide to get animals or not. We are older, have had cows, chickens and turkeys before. Might be to much for us to handle now.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I watched this video a few months ago. I went out and purchased the items you suggested just to have around "in case". Well today was that "in case" day, I have a chicken that one of the others bullied and pecked her head a bit. Thanks to your suggestions I had everything on hand that I needed to take care of her. You videos are wonderful and very informative thank you again for your time and the content you create. 🙂
