Amen for raw milk. I can go to the country side and get it from vending machines and it's so cool to be able to do that and I think I will have to make a regular trip and freeze the milk. Thanks for the reminder.

I WISH I had a source of raw milk here. My niece brought me some the other day and I was a VERY happy camper! Using it for my kefir and yep I had to take the cream off it first. lol YUM Can't do a cow though.
How long can it sit in refrigerator before it turns? And if it turned what can I do with it.

RAW MILK is the only milk I can drink. It is amazing, I can GO FOR DAYS only drinking raw milk, not eating food, and I'm full and I gain weight. The outcome (poo) is perfect too. (truth be told, Madonna, the singer, said, the truth is in the poop. Healthy gut stuff.
Do you boil or do something to the milk or to clean the teats or something to protect against bacterial contamination or what seems to work for you?
I don’t know if you stay up late but last night on channel 10 news they interviewed a Madisonville Dairy Farmer names Suzanne Thompson about raw milk and a “Cow Share” Program so people would own a part of the cow and would be able to get a gallon raw milk once a week.
too bad our idiots in Nashville say it's illegal for me to buy raw milk directly from a farmer. That needs to change.
I'm also getting ready to buy a goat especially for the milk. My son has Lyme Disease and I feel strongly that it's going to heal his stomach from the long term antibiotics. Raw milk is so good for putting in the natural enzymes/ goodness back in our bodies. I'm a firm believer that an all natural diet is the remedy for excellent health.
I'm so excited to get going on this. I also just learned this winter about lasagna gardening so I'm in the middle of building my soil. That probably won't be ready until next fall garden. I've learned so much since finding homesteading vids this winter. 🙂 Thanks to Patara and Starry. And a few others.

Raw milk is the only way to go!! There should be no pasteurized anything.
After a long search I finally found a licensed farm that sells raw milk in upstate NY. I was lucky to get the spring grass fed milk that has a creamy yellow tint to it. It is by far the best milk I have ever drank. Very clean tasting and has no after taste sticking to the roof of my mouth.
I just drank some from a farm here in Florida and its the best milk I've ever drank. It tastes like halfandhalf and seems to give me energy.
I'm jumping on the raw dairy train. Getting my first shipment of raw milk, butter, and cheese on Jan third. God bless!

Do you have Jersey/Guernsey cows or Frisian/Holstein cows for milking? I much prefer the Jersey cows for taste and they’re really cute little cows too they don’t leave as heavy a print on the grass. Love the channel!
