It’s great to see a young man being interested and mastering gardening. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the video! Just subscribed. I've got a question if you get a sec: Do you think Coconut coir with a later addition of light comfrey tea would be enough nutrients to get lettuce to a plump second set of leaves?
Why not just use the first tray and NOT fill it to the top or just half way. Light will hit the plant regardless. Also poke holes as you need for drainage and keep it leveled.
Very informative! I watched your vids and started using everything I learned from you! 🙂
Helpful thanks!
Thank you so much!!! this video really made me wanna do microgreens now LOL. Question: what are you supposed to do with them afterward? juice them? eat them plain?
couldnt you just put less in soil in the 2 inch one.
Basil is my first time attempt growing from seed (not micro-greens). Thank you for sharing they take forever because they do!
Is there any issue with using a 2 inch tray and only filling it to 1 inch?
Where’s the link you talk about for products you mention in the video?
soil sifter video link? please.
I have grown basil and sunflowers and wish to use those seeds from my garden to grow micros. Have you done this? What are your thoughts?
just dont fill the 3 inch trays to the top LOL. makes no sense
@Kevin , can we just buy a huge bag of 'birdseed' sunflower seed from the hardware store? If it's not salted, would you likely get similar outcomes for microgreen sunflower shoots?
About the one inch trays: If you already have the two inch, why spend more money? Why not just fill the existing two-inch trays half way up? Is there a reason not to do this?
Do you know of a good bulk seed supplier in Canada?
Great videos, do you have any idea where to buy seeds in Ontario Canada? Thanks
Can i use my premium soil for growing microgreens? The composition includes white and black peat and enriched with humus, perlite and zeolite.
Can I use my seed sprouter to grow microgreens without soil/coconut coir or moss (just using water)?
Where do I purchase the 1 in no hole tray? Thanks.
Why not just… I don’t know not fill the deep trays up as much?
I don't see why you cannot just restrict yourself to filling the 2 inch trays halfway up, lol.
I use the aluminum roasting pans you buy at the grocery store. I poke holes in the top one and put gravel in the bottom one so that the water is not standing on the roots, but is still available for the plants. They are going to be a lot deeper than you may want, but they are durable and they are not plastic.
I have red spring wheat grass in a (1 inch tray 1020) . There aren’t any holes in the bottom of this tray the grass stopped at about 2 inches . I have one T5 light 12 inches above it . Grass looks like it isn’t flourishing. Where did I mess up ? Also had a fan circulation. I have been watering from a spray bottle and also added water on top in the corners
Hellooo from Amsterdam. Does it make sense to mix sieved soil and vermicompost as growing bed for microgreens?
1:49. That's what she said.
