I have a covered porch with sky lights in it. It is not uncommon for birds to get "trapped" in the sky light. All they have to do is fly down but they keep knocking their feathery heads against the glass because they see sky above them. I've learned to leave them alone & they eventually figure it out.
You can try to pickle radishes with sugar and vinegar and a pinch of salt, Keep refrigerated. I loved those when my grandma used to make them.

I feel like I always have hummingbirds in the house. Once when I was at my mother in laws, one came in and she had vaulted ceilings. We had to use a pool net to get it out.
