I love your food forest! I just started adding a lot more fruit variety this year.
As always James..Magnificent, Inspirational. I think about your words of wisdom while I'm out in the garden..my garden is just ok, but I know it will get better every year because like you say insted of failures I have opportunities to learn what works and what doesn't. I've had moments of feeling like A failure but then I remember your encouragement, I toss failure out and ingage critical Pergioni style thinking. Becomming is much more difficult than being but as tough as growing can be, sigh..you must grow before you can flower, right James?
Always inspiring, looking forward to buy a property this year and get to work. I like how you present it with good energy!
Can you share how your doing in year round self sufficiency? Seems pretty solid in spring and summer but is there enough for year round food already?
This looks awesome. I'm in year two but I'm already noticing 1. The birds are dropping wildflower seeds, tree seeds and etc. I have stuff popping up on the fence line. 2. I'm seeing the self-replication you talk about. I have two areas that are biodiverse and I have things like Japanese Maple and different pine trees coming dropping berries. It starts to do it's own thing.
Your garden is truly amazing. What you've done is what I'm planning. I'm on 5 acres
What do you do for work?
Research hugelkulture and swales and wattle fencing also planting large flowering bushes like canary island sage or tagtes lemonii attracts a lot of beneficial insects
I love what your doing, its wonderful , take a look at whats going on in the UK in some of my videos , just started a channel myself & learning the ropes , have so many gardening friends & more & more customers with gardens to transform , haven't had a garden for a while due to a few things in life going a bit wrong but involved with many other gardens & will have a garden again one day, thanks for the inspiration
What a beautiful space!
Tuck with a cucumber in his mouth at 7:00 was beyond adorable!
Love it. Do you ever have problems with rabbits, gophers, or ground squirrel? Living here in a forest, my gardens are restricted because of the vermin. I do shoot and eat the rabbits, but I don’t kill anything else I don’t plan on eating, unless it’s causing serious damage (ground squirrels/gophers, not good eating). Even at that, I leave them out for the ravens and buzzards and the come eat them right away, sometimes the coyotes snag a few. I relocate a lot of snakes to the property and they keep my mouse and rat population down to almost 0, and take care of almost all the gophers. Deer eat it all here too, so everything needs cages… but you seem to be in an urban setting shielded from these pests?
EPIC
I really love your garden, so wide.
cool, new dog.. love you..
trust me I am packing it in my neighbors prolly hate me my yard looks nothing like theres, rich neighbors…lol
Whats happening my christian brother from jersey? James, great video and very inspiring. Love the depth of the forest and the harmonized environment you have created. Thanks you for the encouragement and the education videos. Also thanks for your commitment and passion. can do all things thru him that strengthens me. Liked the layering of the food forest and different canopy layers. Wondering if you have a video or will make one about how you layer the forest. Can blackberries go below semi-dwarf apple trees, can blueberries go below peach trees?. Finding it hard put together a plan to layer my perennials and at the same time maximize space. Your bro from Fort Riley, Kansas, zone 6a.
Aww! Tuck as a mate!! I look forward to seeing little Tuck babies!
Love your fur Babies. Great gardens.
I've noticed that a lot of the gardening channels have really nice people in the comments. It takes a certain person to garden and it seems we are very kind people. We have a good tribe of gardeners don't we?
My kids & I love watching your videos. You've inspired us and we are just starting our own 10 acre food forest in Louisiana!
Hey James do you have a list of companies your order from that you trust?
Thank you for sharing all your knowledge and experience in the food forest. I love your videos.
I research from your research and other youtube, prolly watched all your videos 5 times over, I been buliding my food forest too, in a small area my neighbors prolly hate me, I have almost everything you do it costed alot to buy them all but will be worth it going on my 3 rd yr..
I don't live in USA.
