To answer your question, what about winter squash and strawberries?
I use my hands when talking, too… (is that what it looks like to others?! … it is almost like watching jazz hands… fun but distracting in a way… must be a Michiganian thing, which I am one… other side of the state than these guys…) Oh yes… I would say melons and some squash vine out… with those tendrils wrapping around what they can.

I have many vines growing around my yard.
I had to kill my wild grape vines in my yard, they was killing my trees.
But i kept my vines that have the pretty leaves just growing up the Trellis i made.
I even let it grow up the very old brick grill in my yard.
