  1. Great hatching. The smallest foul I've hatched is button quail. They lay the largest egg for their size. They looked like walking cotton balls and went through 1/2' wire like it wasn't there. Have fun. Maybe I can talk my husband into another foul for the farm. 🙂

  2. I GOT QUAIL TODAY! 5. they are in an indoor rabbit cage on top of my fridge (I've cats who sleep in the living room with the rabbits) I've never had birds before (chickens coming soon too but only 3 maybe 4) Quail are so tiny! And very cute! This will be fun! I've one boy and 4 girls.

  3. I’ve never seen a warming plate. Pretty cool. The heat lamps scared me too. So I always use the little Christmas lights. They work perfectly. Throw away when done.

  4. If you crush the egg shells real well n roast them, you can feed them to the chickens and the chickens will eat the shells and they just love them.

  5. What adorable boys you have!! And so well mannered!
    “I love him!! “ “He’s staring at me! “
    With that cute little grin!
They are so cute I could hug them! Not the chicks…the kids!! LOL
    But the little chicks too!

  6. This brings back huge memories of45+ years ago, taking care of pheasant eggs after their mother was involved in a commercial mower accident. We put them in a 33 gallon garbage can padded with newspapers. We used a heat lamp. All of this was inside a hollowed out washer my dad used to brew beer. My parents love of the environment was instilled in all of us!
