We have a little bit of a different way than most of funding our homestead. Our household income is completely dependent on Ian’s income, and to make our financial situation even more risky, he is self employed in a seasonal industry. Ian’s job is very specialized, and because of this, his wages are high enough to make us the money we need in a short amount of time. But it also comes with a lot of risks. We talk about how we think about our budgeting because of this situation, why Serina left her job, and how we can afford our new homestead.
