Thank you for the tour! And for the ant solution!!!
Bless you for working so hard for us while you were sick!
Would you recommend planting sweet peas throughout a garden? are they hardy pest resist. Brand I have Sweet pea mix burble I have never planted I just love the daity look What do you think
Something else you can do with banana leaves is if you cook together rice and beans for example, put a piece of banana leaf big enough to almost cover the circumference of the pot once a third of the water remains and it's the final stage of cooking on low heat, then put the lid on, and wait until the rice is done and the leaf will lose its color becoming a bit grayish green, and your rice will explode with flavor. It also complements dishes with black cardamom in the same manner. I'm from Puerto Rico and we use banana leaves for almost everything we can sneak it in for flavor. Aaaalso, wrap fish flavored your way and put it in the oven or grill and it'll keep the fish's moisture better and the skin will peel right off. It just needs to be 2 leaves, not just one, to stand the heat better and not just burn off putting the fish at risk by becoming charred.
So pretty!!!
that rose! WOW!
wow does anyone know what kind of mushrooms you have growing on the logs in your beds?
For ant issues. i use cornmeal. It's safe for your pets as well as kills the ants. They eat the cornmeal and it swells them up and kills them. Works every time.
Watching this again as inspiration, April 4 2020 during the COVID-19 crisis, while so many of the plants are small in the garden. A great reminder that in less than 2 months, the garden will really be ready to pop!
What do you mean when you say it's starting to bolt?
Calendula is fabulous for lymph node drainage.
The big leaf w purple rib looks like my Swiss chard….that one is kinda twangie in taste but the green rib is milder
used a can of cayenne pepper on mine – right down the center hole
Great idea to juice it all. Did you know you can blend or juice the banana with the peel! Works great.
Hey Jesse, you can also mix 1 tsp. Of mild organic liquid soap with 1 liter of water to spray on flea bettles.
I've done a lot of garden planning this weekend and am using your garden tours for inspiration. Thanks for everything!
