  1. I remember a very similar thing happening to me on summer. The funny thing is that I usually can my produce but friends convinced me to freeze it instead. Then the freezer broke and I was stuck making jam and sauces and applesauce all at the same time! Now I only keep meat in my freezer.

  2. I'd make some frittatas in muffin tins, like little egg breakfasts at the same time with all the Lucy's you have 🙂 Love every video, even the "boring" ones! Thanks for sharing! I picked 6 tomatoes yesterday from my in-pots garden, inspire day you!

  3. Jess, Butcher Box meat is amazing! Great quality, best ground beef I’ve ever had, but their packaging system for hamburger is awful. I was with them for over 6 months and every hamburger shipment had issues with packaging being open/meat exposed. It made me very sad. The meat is delicious.
    Love ❤️ the bangs!!

  4. Hey Jess and Myah! I am new to your show but am currently addicted:)
Thank you for all your honesty and Love! Never boring…Keep up the great work!
Take care :0) Ps. Just got my first 6 ISA hens yesterday and i am smitten lol

  5. I love watching every video you put up. It isn't boring! I also had my big canning days last weekend and the weekend before. I put up 125 jars it really is exhausting but so worth it.

  6. Hi there from Germany. I have been watching your videos for the last months now. I am really enjoying them. I have been checking on other channels as well, but… somehow I feel best watching Roots and Refuge. And I just realized this minute that one of the aspects that makes it so enjoyable… is the music in the background. It is so relaxing, not disturbing in any way, but adding a lot of value. Thanks, also for that. Besides all the stuff I have learned in the past months about gardening of course. I have a tiny apartment here in the South of Germany, 30 square meters, but, it has a garden with about 70 square meters and I am growing quite a bit of veggies and herbs already. So, bless you 😉

  7. In your video where you talked about "The Chicken Way" and how maybe these videos are someone's "Chicken Way", I love these sort of boring day videos because there are all these odds and ends of it that you wouldn't necessarily think of. Like if this is the life you want, these are the things that come with it. I am currently designing a tiny home on my parents' property where we will have a big garden and livestock and since I know I can't have a big kitchen I'm planning a big porch with a canning kitchen and sheltered area for a dehydrator. Cuz that is the reality of it. So I really love these videos is all I'm tryna say I guess.

  8. I tried that Zaycon Chicken & got ripped off. It was recommended by 2 other YouTube homesteader channels. Scared to do that again. Your haircut does look good. I like ot curly because my hair is straight. Lol.

  9. Dear ones, thank you for showing us around in your life! And mind you: it's never boring! Being a part of other people's lives can't be boring, trust me, I love having friends around, who know the way in our house, cabinets and fridge, who are comfortable just being with us.
Consider us to be such friends. Don't mind us, we love being with you. We often joke with friends: we are just being around, just part of your furniture.
Blessings from your Dutch 'furniture' <3

  10. Actually it was a very interesting video due to it was something out of the usual to what we usually see on your channel & I could never get bored watching your lovely family. It was a, "That's life sort of video".
