VIDEO: Yellow Straightneck Squash Harvest May 25, 2019

We harvested our squash for the first time this year! It’s easy to forget from year to year just how good fresh squash is! We also found and killed a squash vine borer.

  1. That is a very nice looking row of squash. Our garden is smaller so we only have five squash plants. Next year I think I will do a complete row like you have. Thanks for sharing and have a great week… Calvin

  2. It looks like you will have a lot more squash to harvest in the future! What did you do with the moth? Squash it? 😉 Did you find many more when you inspected? Those plants looked really healthy! I am not a big fan of eating squash, but I am all in for the potatoes and onions!!!

  3. Those squash plants are looking really good. Is that straw you have as mulch underneath the plants? Nice looking squash too. Nice harvest. Really everything looks so good and healthy. Nice onion patch too.

  4. That's a nice harvest of the squash there!! Hope your next harvest is tripled!!
Yup gotta kill them vine borers they're the devils spawn!!
    Have a good'nnn

  5. We grow them up here in Saskatchewan, Canada as well but our plants are just starting to grow. I find the moth interesting . I haven't noticed moths in our Squash patch in previous years but we have a slug that gets on the vegetable and starts eating them. Makes me so mad. Thanks for sharing this video. Very nice!
