  1. I love watching and learning. But, I don't know a thing about geese except at the community college they attack all that walk by the big pond. Have a Wonderful & Blessed Day!

  2. My papa Tony raised his chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, and guineas all together, and he always made sure that the ducks and geese were mated, because they tended to get froggy if the aren't. For some reason people these days seem to think that their 'guard goose' won't guard their flocks if they have a mate, and that's just not so. As for what breed you want, what are you wanting out of these geese? Entertainment? Egg laying? Meat? African geese tend to be docile and quieter than the Chinese, and it looks like you have Chinese there? They look similar. They have a nice stocky body, lay well, and aren't quite as aggressive as the Chinese (though they probably originated in China, too). Pomeranian geese are great for both meat and egg laying and are really pretty geese.

  3. We have the French Grey Toulouse geese and absolutely love them! Very non aggressive except during mating season when you have to respect their space. I've heard it's best to have one male and two females together.
