I don't what it is about our local pet store; but, I have never been able to keep a goldfish purchased from it alive. However, I did have a neighbor who had a goldfish that was over a foot long that she kept in a 50 gallon tank with some Oscars. The largest tank I've ever had was a 20 gallon tank. Now, I don't have the space for even that size.

Thank u i have had tropical and goldfish all my life since the eighties so now at 45years old i live in my own unit by myself inderpented living and have a bigger tank for goldfish and the smaller tank for my guppies and albino catfish so the goldfish i totally luv they help me out cause i have anxciety and frontal lobe epilepsy but definitely not voilent or dangerous and goldfish sure know how torelaxe me thank u from garry king
