  1. Those handles you painted look stunning! We (DIY) built a new house and I designed a more Mediterranean looking kitchen: hammered copper sink and range hood. Only problem was that the appliances– meaning the refrigerator, microwave, double oven, and cooktop– were all stainless steel. The look really bothered me because it clashed so much with the more rustic look I was going for. So I found someone who painted automobiles in the area, and we took a couple of stainless steel bowls and did some test paint jobs until I was satisfied that we had a color that matched well with the rest of the kitchen. Got an air sprayer and masked everything off and we sprayed all of the appliances. I rubbed them down by hand to make a beautiful finish. of course this was a new build and it was something we were doing ourselves and it took a lot of effort, but in the end it was gorgeous and it looked totally custom. And it saved money over buying super high-end custom appliances which I don't think I could have even found in that color anyhow! We sold that house shortly after finishing it and move down to the next job. I was really proud of the work and the end result.

  2. God bless Rustoleum spray paint lol! They have stepped up their game as far as quality, variety and price. I had an old ceiling fan I spent several hundred dollars on. It worked great but it was the old grassy gold color. Figured what did I have to lose, tore it apart and sprayed it with the hammered bronze from Rustoleum. Omgggg its gorgeous like brand new and for $6! Used the same can to then paint 2 wall mount lamps on either side of the couch to match. 1 fan 2 lamps for $6….fantastic!

  3. The girls I work with spray painted our metal school house type lockers with this paint. They look great and the paint has worn well. That says a lot being in the back room of a hair salon. Great idea for the fixtures

  4. I used hammered black on my harvest gold stove vent hood when I replaced the stove with a black one. I sprayed the underside with aluminum colored paint to reflect more light. I then sprayed all of my cabinet hardware with the hammered black and like yours, it brought the cabinets back to life. I ended up “painting” my cabinets with the stained clear coat. That worked well, but I had to strip and redo a couple after I forgot to stir the “paint” frequently enough to keep the stain evenly distributed in the clear coat.
