  1. And another New Zealand R&R fan! Regarding the gate latch, hooking it onto the gate itself works fine for light duty applications, but “a more excellent way” has the chain passing though the gate and hooking back onto the post. With larger animals this gives better control of any back-and-forth movement of the gate and a stronger fastening overall.

  2. This is exactly what I needed to learn about. Need to keep the fox out of my chicken pen. So timely. Thanks Miah and Kellan.
Admitting one is wrong about something or other (while possibly bitter) is highly commendable. Bitters are really good for ones digestion. Being willing to eat humble pie sets one up for learning new things… happens a lot at our house… 😉

  3. Good work, electric fences can be tricky. Really like those offset wire insulators. Building a pen for goats and pigs and could use some of those. Tried their web page but those are not listed. Anyway could you post a link or show us where to get them? Thanks for the videos. Oh, if you upgrade to an electric grid energizer you can probably get up around 12-13 K volts. That'll take run off bears, 🙂

  4. I'm really enjoying you channel, lots of good info. I have a question though about the electric fencing… we have some sheep and want to keep predators out, they don't really test the fence so it's not so much about keeping our animals in. Do I need to run a line just at the top of the fence for that or bottom too? I wouldn't think having it a foot inside the fence will do much for a coyote or even a feral pig (we have lots of those around, and they are a predator for our baby lambs). Keep up the great videos!

  5. Yeah Miah..
