  1. Thanks for some lovely levity at a time when we all need it. Have y'all looked into biochar? It's basically a way to turn the act of burning wood from an environmental minus to a plus. It helps hold natural fertilizer and water in the soil. There are some neat DIY biochar furnaces (maybe not the right word?) out there — I'd love to see you make one! Thanks for the lovely entertainment, and I bless you all right back! 😀

  2. Tonight and every night at 7pm I will pray until this virus is gone. Please join me and me family in solidarity to give hope. We are not alone and together we can bet this.

  3. New subscriber here…love, love, love your garden! I've grown Hydrangeas here in Vancouver, Wa. and they burned from the sun. They really do so much better in afternoon shade. Roses love sun and would be a beautiful replacement but think the Hydrangea will be stressed there. Research this to make sure. Thank you for a fun video…love the kids too!

  4. Wow, my brother and I used to have "our bases" too. We ordered so much soda and candy from those trees, so much. And we had tvs with video games in our bases (all make believe of course.) Man, what great days those were. Not a care in the world but fun and exploration.

  5. I keep hearing my grandmom say, "Somebody is gonna poke an eye out." Kids make me nervous. They're always climbing things. Did I mention I have 5? LOL We survived the discovery phase. The youngest is 13 now. I honestly miss those crazy fun days of exploring the world through their childlike eyes. You have adorable, wonderful children, Miah and Jess. Bless your dear family! (Oh– the cottage garden is coming along nicely too. 😛 I was just enjoying your children. Precious.) Hey, boys! I LOVE your fort! Looks like so much fun!

  6. Dig a big hole and put all the wood pile into it cover with dirt water. A fantastic planting mound. Hugelculture. Old German planting way to use wood debris to make the best ever compost. The higher you pile it the better. Check it out.
