  1. Just wanted to stop by, cup of tea in hand, and thankyou for your wonderful videos! I have been watching them nonstop and sending links to my family and friends. You have inspired us to start a family garden on my brother and sister-in-law's 20 acres. He used to run horses there so the soil is loaded with lots of old horse power! Your kids and all of your fur and feather babies are adorable! Keep sharing hope and inspiration to the world!

  2. Hi. My name is Luisa and I am a Tongan (South Pacific) from New Zealand. I am a mother of 5 grown kids and I started gardening in my limited area at home to avoid buying expensive veggies at the supermarkets especially when they are out of season thIe prices goes up. Sometimes I don't buy these veggies when I think the prices are ridiculous. I have been doing this for about two years now and I am glad that I did. I stumbled into your trellis video because I was searching for ideas because I am running out of space. I am glad I found your website and I visit it everyday now. Thank you for sharing your great videos. I am a keen follower now. Cheers.

  3. I just started watching your videos a couple days ago. My dad was a good gardener and I hope to carry on his skills. It's relaxing to watch your videos. Thank you.

  4. "I barely got to do any work" is such a familiar feeling! We visit a friend's homestead every summer. When I was about 22, and in a particularly hard season of my life, I got my hands on the garden list the moment we arrived. My mom invited me to go get ice cream and I declined. She couldn't believe her ears! We were both raised in the city, and she didn't understand how her sweet-tooth urbanite's heart needed garden work. We've both since started our container gardens, and I'm going harder on it now than ever. No sense waiting to buy my own homestead, since I don't have access to the farmer's market rn. Breaks my heart to think of all the farmers who will be cash-poor this year, and all that produce that will rot in the fields…

  5. After a few years spent researching gardening, I've decided now is a good time to start. I enjoy watching your videos, and they are very inspirational. We are also on a farm. So we got some before photos taken, and here shortly we will do some during and after.

  6. Jess im a frontliner medical doctor, and watching these videos makes me so happy and calm. I haven't had much time to plant my garden since covid 19 broke out. Fingers crossed it will be over soon

  7. I’ve been gardening for a few years now on a small scale, but this year I tripled my bed space and started all of my own seeds. I had planned this before any of the current situation developed, but I’m so glad I did, as plant starts aren’t really safe to go and get this spring. And we’ll have more homegrown tomatoes and peppers than ever. Thank you so much for your inspiration and encouragement!

  8. Thank you, Jess! I appreciate your vote of confidence and your willingness to share information. I can't wait to get started. I can't wait to get my beds. Can't wait for my seeds which are on the way. I can't wait to fill the beds with soil…I am so excited and I'm grateful to have content creators like yourself to help me along the way.

  9. It's so wonderful to see you daily and learn from you. Having a space like yours is a dream I'm still dreaming about. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and being so uplifting and a blessing to us.

  10. Yr videos are very inspirational. We have a small homestead with dogs and chickens, wanting to expand eventually. I've done potted tomatoes and a planter garden before. This year I'm doing my first earth garden! Do you have any videos tips prepping/conditioning the soil? TIA

  11. I'm fairly new to gardening and also a boy mom (2 yrs and 10 yrs) I just want to say thank you for making it seem so fun and all of the tips you have given me. Not only the gardening but your smile is absolutely contagious and you are spreading so much light which is always needed but especially right now! God has huge plans for you and your family and I feel super blessed to be able to see partly where you and your farm has come from and really excited to see where its going. Again, thank you for sharing your life with us! A scripture I love is Jeremiah (ironically haha) 29:5 'build houses and live in them and plant gardens and eat their produce' which reminds us how simple life can be if we just take a step back and be resourceful of what He has given us.

  12. planting this year…… as we are "social distancing". It will definately be a learning process… BUT if I can reduce the amount of purchasing that we have to do from the grocery I MIGHT be able to afford just staying home. If I find that I have more than I can handle…………. I am happy of the idea to be giving to neighbors or a local food pantry. **hopefully it works out. 🙂

  13. This is my first year gardening, and you’ve inspired me to pick it up, it started as a hobby. I’m in Florida so we don’t have frost, but this first year I have squash, zucchini, sugar baby watermelon, strawberries, a whole bunch of peppers and tomatoes, and I know it’s a little warm for radish’s but I let my 5 year old plant them in a pot to see what happens, they are breakfast radish’s so they supposedly take about 20-25 days and I thought they would be cool for him to watch grow since it’s quick. It’s only my first year so we will see how good it is. I have already gotten strawberries and some tomatoes tho! Nothing beats a home grown tomato and that’s a fact! I appreciate you sharing your knowledge and I look up to you a lot!

  14. This is the first year I'm able to do a garden, on out top floor house apartment we have a small balcony where I am filling with as much garden as I can (as well as trying to get a spot in a community garden) here in Toronto. Gardening and watching your videos are the only thing keeping me sane right now so I so appreciate it. I am literally watching your old videos all day while i wait for the weather to be safe to plant my tomatoes

  15. I k ow this is a old video but i had a super stressful day st work so i have been bindge watching you today i ordered my self a little green house so i can grow longer
