  1. Amen we found out the hard way on our house was a night Mare when first moved same passed inspection n we still have spare tub working. We spent so much just get livable. Yes pigs are terrifying they will get u down n eat ya. Or so ive heard horror stories. However urs is really gentle but don't let that foil ya. Idk bout pigs but gentle bull is good However come feed time since they are a pet my father in law been pinned before with fed bucket just bc so huge not that meant to but they don't realize how big head are.

  2. Have you ever tried individual mics? It is easy to hear Jess on the Live Chats, but Miah's voice, even though he is pretty close in, is very hard to hear at times, most of the time.

  3. Yes, I can explain things in an odd way sometimes but that is what I observed. At the beginning of the shortages in the stores people turned to you to learn how to grow their own food in order to survive if it ended up becoming worse. There was a lot of fear of the future for all of us. You acknowledged that in the beginning and took the horse by the reigns…you know the rest. Integrity and consistency will determine your continued success.

  4. Question, is the galvanized steel safe for raised beds? And if were not comfortable with it, can we line it with left over plastic from green house? Thanks in advance.

  5. Dear Jess and Miah, thank you for doing good, thank you for being an example for lots of us, for me. As Christians, lovers, parents, homesteaders, friends. Thank you for sharing your life. And thank you for going on, teaching, sharing.
    Thank you for being you.
I love you, even though we never met, you give me (us all, the whole 400K and more, obviously) the feeling we are worthy of sitting at your table, walking with you through your garden, through your life. One day we will meet, on this or the other side of heaven.
    I bless you too,
    Diana, from The Netherlands <3

  6. In winter we switch to winter tires which are not all season at all. The rubber is different. It stays softer in cold temperatures so it continues to grip the road. But it can't handle the heat of summer. The tread would wear off super fast if left on all year.

  7. I was looking up seresto collars as an alternative to what I’ve been using for pest control. I noticed an article linking them to seizures and pet deaths. I haven’t spent much time looking into it but thought I’d share.

  8. You could try applying beneficial nematodes to kill ticks and lots of other bugs during their larval stage. You spray them on the soil. It can even help with certain garden pests.

  9. Names of different areas, names just stick, it's so funny. It reminded me though that you planted a sunchoke bed, away from other garden areas. Did they grow? was it successful? Did you get to cook with any? Just wondering if I missed what happened to those?
