I’ve been looking at making a temporary type high tunnel using cattle panels arched over in a row and then covering with greenhouse plastic. Wouldn’t be terribly big but it would work for a little winter growing and you’d be able to take it down when you move.
I just got my catalog yesterday. I am in hog heaven…even though I still have tomato plants with tomatoes on them.

What a lovely experience and makes one want to just go dig in the garden! My garden this year will not be as planned and hoped as I am dealing with some unexpected serious health issues, but I am growing some and will do it the way I want to next year as we are now mid season ish in the southern hemisphere. What I have managed to plant, is doing well and the expansion plans will just now happen next year.

We put a lean to greenhouse on the east side of our house and have a small greenhouse in our garden. We live in s. Michigan and have greens by our house and some started in the greenhouse for early spring. Both are unheated. It is doable abd not terribly expensive.

Hey Jess at about 14 minutes you say now is not the season for your high tunnel. Well guess what! You’re in high tunnel season now! I’m excited to see how it prolongs your tomatoes this summer, but I’m REALLY excited to see you have some extra green and life in the winter months!
