  1. It has been in the 20s for several nights in a row here in Atlanta, just two hours from you. But my citrus trees and hop pepper plants seem to be soldiering through. I am just now starting to sow seeds in my poly house. Are you starting seeds yet?

  2. Maybe you know this, but depending on how many calves she’s previously had it’s really good to give them calcium post calving. Helps reduce the chance of milk fever. You can get a liquid form and give it IV or they make a paste in a tube you give orally. Any of our dairy heard that’s had more than 2-3 calves gets calcium right after they birth Oct-May. During the spring and summer months there is less chance of milk fever due to more nutrients in the grass.

  3. I feel your pain with Bear's love of water. I have a Australian Shephered who goes swimming in water troughs. She will lay down and just float on her side with just her head out of the water laying on the edge of the trough and just soak in the water. But pull out a hose or try try get her in a bathtub for a proper wash and she will loose her mind

  4. Beautiful sunset. Helen does look very big. That udder does look really full. Great, we got to see that Jeremiah is really filming content for his "how to" YT channel! Yay! You two are really moving along on this new property! Wow, garlic and onion garden planted already, trees and berries ordered and perennial garden to start. High tumnnel foundations done and window greenhouse ready to be built. Not to mention the big red barn and getting that all finished up with the Noahs. Thanks for this Jess.

  5. I hope ur berry bushes from Starks r better than the ones I got. I ordered some expensive blackberry plants. They were in small pots with like 2 leaves, trying to bloom but no real roots. I had to send pics . Told me I'd have to wait a year for replacements, no refunds. I did get new ones but not much better. Only 1 office survived. These costs nearly $30 for 3 4" plants. I ordered one from Bay Laurel nurseries and some other plants. The blackberry plant was over 2' tall including a big root system
