You've already got tomatoes? Haven't even flowered up here yet!
Please do a video on how to trim chickens' flight feathers.
Jess, give this a listen. I think you'll like it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hEQ7eGLkm0
GREAT PEP TALK.. I have been inspired by you this year.. To go bigger then i have in the past. I've even started growing much more in container's to.. Thank you for your video's…
This is the time that I am drinking iced coffee by 8 am after my first visit to the garden. 🙂
I really needed the pep talk. Thanks Jess, I'm not throwing in the towel!
I honestly needed that pep talk that was at the end. It really helped.
I ♥Love♥ your dress!!!
My son just used the weed eater on my garden. We had a fantastic garden at our previous home. This is our second year in this one. It's hard starting over and my husband has no time to really help much. He was our gardener. Now he's renovating our house. We bought his grandparents' 1960s home and it had to have a lot of work. But we got 8 acres and a pond. I am learning so much from you. I am watching your old videos and all the new ones. Thank you for sharing.
Hot house toms don’t have the best taste….is there any diff in taste in a high tunnel? We are starting the process to get a high tunnel grant.
AMAZING EPISODE. I've been trying to garden while working a full-time job and raising kids on my own my whole life (including homeschooling), and I always say that by mid-July I start to give up. This year at age 50 the garden is more salvation for me than it's ever been, and while it's still gotten away from me a little bit, I've found a new love for going out very early in the morning and doing what I can before work. It's my time with the chickens and the dogs and my garden…(and coffee, I roast my own!) I'm really glad I found your channel. Love from eastern NC, zone 7 too!
CLIP THEIR WINGS OR START EATING CHICKEN SANDWICHES INSTEAD OF TOMATO SANDWICHES!
Such good advice. Sometimes we need to remind ourselves that the only way we truly fail at things is by not really trying to do our best, & by just giving up. Like you said – Just keep showing up.
My garden's about a month behind yours but the mosquitos, yellowjackets and heat really rattle my peace of mind, Finding a window of time during the day of calm feels elusive. A typical summer coastal redwoods day leaves me rattled by biting and stinging creatures. So, today I'm plugging in a rotating fan on the deck near my tomato bed, lighting some candles to deter some of the pests and do some of the things and then sit under my bug net with an ice tea and a book. Thanks, I so needed your encouragement.
Thank you for this ending message Jess. I truly needed it. I planted seeds and started the spring garden with high expectations. Then quarantine started and my life transitioned to a different direction where I didnt have the time to keep up with it. Mixing that with late frosts and not having the time to plant the starts or weed….it has gotten away from me. I needed your message.
Thank you, Jessica, keep up the good work. Praying Abba-Father continues to bless you so that you can continue to bless all of us that truly need your encouragement.
Bless you from Idaho,
my mother and i have fruit trees a pear tree 2 apple trees and 2 peach trees but we havent been able to eat any of it because they get bugs and we dont know how to keep the bugs away
Not just the garden but life. Words I very much needed to hear.
Chickens are really who will decimate gardens. lol
GIRL! THAT DRESS! That's a date night dress! You look completely beautiful and thanks for the words of encouragement.
Does anyone know the video for the outcome for hybrid vs heirloom? I watch every video and even did lives but I have not been able to find how they did.
Thanks for the encouragement!
The chicken predation of tomatoes is so frustrating!!!! I ended up moving my garden and chickens to opposite ends of my property…
