Do you use fresh or store bought honey?
Hi Jess~ I really appreciate that you not only showed how you make salsa, but also what you do when it doesn't turn out as planned. It will definitely save a lot of people from throwing away a batch because it isn't quite right. Especially those who have to make something exactly the way the recipe says. Thank you so much for sharing this!
I can the juice from when I drain my tomatoes while skinning, seeding and coring them. I add a little citric acid and salt. Even with market purchased average tasting tomatoes the juice comes out tasting amazing. I also dehydrate the skins and grind them to use as a substitute when recipes call for paste or to amp up tomato flavor in a dish. A little goes along way so don’t be disappointed when you get a tiny spice jar of powder.
i LOVE the baskets you use. I dont have a farm yet but when i do, i want baskets like those everywhere for all kinds of random jobs!
I love the honesty in this video. I consider myself a decent cook and sometimes I need to tweak the hell out of my own recipes. You go, girl!
I love video recipes with food from the garden.
Love your video, thank you for the recipe! And I feel the same as you about cilantro!
This Salsa seems like you would make it for Saint Pities day
What size is the food processor you use?
Those canning police are freaking out seeing a lemon instead of jemon juice! They freakout about everything I just don't know any of I did they wouldn't eat my stuff.
love love love this…you would have a wonderful cooking channel by the way
I am so glad to see someone else who is obviously knowledgeable, does things the same way I do. By the seat of the pants always!
New guidelines, are kind of like telling you what you have been doing for YEARS!, should have killed you, but didn't. Some, I'm sure are good, some not.
Thank you so much, not just for the recipe, but for the lesson on, if you can improve something, you don't have to settle for something that isn't quite right.
where did you get your headband?
When I make roasted salsa alot of times it ends up being really thick and even use the liquid- think it has to do something with the pectin in the tomatos- do you think its because I didnt cook the tomatos as long as you
I tried this recipe tonight and it was SO DELICIOUS! Thank you for sharing.
Hi Jess. Watched this video today, thank you for the recipe too. I have noticed recently that you, Jill and Shaye all have Berkeys for water. I thought that living in the country you all would have really really great water. Is that not true? What is the reason for having those? I live in california and am wo dering if we need to get one. (LOVE your new property!!)
Still yummy — new year, new batch Aug 2021! Thank you for sharing this recipe.
It warms my heart to see my comment from a year ago and know how much I’ve learned. This salsa is fantastic and I did can it! YUM! Thank you!
has anyone successfully canned this salsa?
What brand is your food processor? I am always so impressed by you and your family, Jess!
