Beets In Buckets, Its Easier Than You Think! Its easy and I’ll show you how. Beets are a fantastic, underrated root crop that often plays second fiddle to carrots and potatoes. Well, no more. Grown for its insanely nutritious bulbous root, Beet leaves are delicious in salads, wraps, and stir fry! This is indeed a powerhouse crop that should be in every backyard garden.
In Part 2 of this 2-part series, I’ll show you how I maintain my Beet buckets after germination, thinning, watering, nutrients, and finally harvesting.

very good! love you man
Great video!! Thank you!!
Quick question: Are you THE Ripe Tomato Farms that sells Organic Alfalfa on Amazon? This is my second year purchasing this product, and it has the same label as your YouTube channel. I LOVE this stuff – works amazingly with my herbs, especially basil and lemon thyme! Great timing on this video as well, as I am about to plant my fall beet plants that I stared indoors. I had sprouts in less than 30 hours!
I am growing beets in an 18-gallon totes. I live in northern California. Was amazed that they sprouted in like 2 days! And uh, ya, it is 107 degrees F outside today! My seedlings are in the shade! #HeatWave!
I love that you have plenty of beds, but still use buckets. Very flexible system you have. This, that, and the other thing! Love it, thanks Jeff
This year my beets never formed, I got beet greens but not beets. I will give it another try.
Was waiting for this pt 2 forever! WELL worth the wait; best wishes brother
You are SO funny! Beyond that, you give the best info. I'm going to start a beet bucket today. Thanks so much!
Another great indoor experiment! Your ideas have been giving me fun stuff to do. Take care and be well 🙂
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and garden with us and always with such passion. I'm a young gardener and you've motivate me to continue after a difficult year
When do we put one seed/plant in one pot, and when do we put a bunch of seeds in one pot?
good one.
Very useful, thanks. I'm growing a big potful on my balcony, and, amazingly, I haven't managed to kill them, yet. They must be easy to grow.
You are so funny!!! Thank you for this video… I am gonna try in pots/buckets…
Typically how long from planting to harvest?
Yay. Love container gardening.
Greetings from Southern Ontario, Canada and thanks for this (and other) informative and entertaining videos. I'm going to give the potted beets a try. Granted I'm not the brightest bulb in the package (ouch) when it comes to gardening I think I can handle this simple, straight forward method. Again, thanks.
Great tips, thanks for sharing
Wow I lost it when you said unBEETable… .. .
Good humour and good advice!!!! Thanx.
Didn't know transplanting beet doesn't work. Have seeding in small containers to be transplanted into summer sales bins.
Will it be successful as this is my first time.
Rabbits eat the leaves when planted on the ground.
Love beets specially the leaves.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Lol
