I sent my son and husband the link to your merch page yesterday along with what I want for Christmas. LOl! At first my husband thought he was being spammed!
I am sitting here laughing! All my candles are battery operated with timers. They turn on and off all at the same time! My tree has been artificial for years and I have actually put it up Nov 1st a few years ago.I always keep it up until New Years. I love the season and want it to last as long as possible, plus the lights warm the look of the house through the dark evenings in winter!
I cracked up when Miah said, (9:41) "You Do You Boo Boo!" Too funny! I usually have a Charlie Brown Christmas tree, usually a young native Juniper, that I dig up from my property months earlier to let it develop root system in a bucket, then after Christmas I transplant it into a spot where I actually want it to grow instead of where it sprung up as a volunteer.
Scalloped corn is a lot like another dish I love, scalloped potatoes, YUM! I like my scalloped corn savory not sweet same as my scalloped potatoes with garlic, onions and seasonings. I like green bean casserole only if I use garden fresh or salt fermented green beans because I can't stand canned green beans. I salt ferment green beans to preserve them instead of canning them because it keeps them fresh and crisp tasting; canning makes them soft, soggy, and devoid of flavor.
Sugar is a touchy subjects sometimes, and I agree too many products contain sugar as well as too much salt, salt is also bad for our health when over done. Even fruit juice with no added sugar can be over done and make your blood sugar higher than it should be. I don't like sugar on fruit such as some people put sugar on strawberries and I especially do not like sugar on sweet potatoes which already seem very sweet to me. I drink coffee and tea without any sugar, I like coffee black and tea plain whether hot or cold. I don't drink soda unless it is naturally fermented soda which I make from making my own ginger bug starter or my homemade kombucha, then I add fruit juice for a secondary ferment and it makes delicious naturally fermented soda. I do use sugar in some recipes and I believe that sugar from sugar cane and beets is a good natural sugar, it's part of my pantry. Most things in moderation are not detrimental and sometimes needed such as when making ginger bug, and kombucha, in those fermented drinks the sugar is consumed and converted by lactobacillus into probiotics. Another thing I want to say is everyone should get bloodwork done at least once a year so that they are aware of their blood sugar, cholesterol (good bad and triglyceride levels) and they should educated themselves on what the numbers mean. Happy Holidays!
I was just getting rid of a train that works, smokes and even goes forward and backward. Let me know if you want fo swap some seed for train. I will mail it to you. rureadymatt24.39@gmail.com
Hey dear ones, I would love to get one of your hoodies, do you ship to The Netherlands?
Too long time no see… ow well, life… But it's so good to see you and hear you talk. Thank you for still being here, you and your farm feel like a constant and trustworthy base to come back to. Even though we are not close (by) friends, and you didn't take a peek in my heart recently, you keep on sharing yourselves and feeling close.
Darn, I just clicked on the link to your first book, and it says it doesn't ship to The Netherlands!? NOOOOOOoooooo…… How do I ever get it here? I guess I have to buy it when we visit you in… let's say, the summer of 2022… ???
A Bone Broth cleanse and doing candida diet helped me cut all sugar along with what you mentioned Jess. It was life changing for sure. Loved this chat!!
You are soooooooo right about sugar. It should be spoken of much much more as we are completely manipulated to eat more of it without even realising. If you want some motivation, check out this Australian documentary by a guy called Damon Gameau, it’s called “that sugar movie” it will BLOW YOUR MIND. https://documentaryaustralia.com.au/news/that-sugar-film/ If the link doesn’t work please search for it. He also wrote a book called “that sugar book”
Miah you are so right about building costs right now. Here in WA it's insane. Just finishing up a building project and cost overruns have been less than pleasant.
Wow! I am an avid follower and have enjoyed your channel since I was bed ridden! I am now out of bed and thriving almost back to normal!! I truly hope u see this comment? With as much as I’ve learned about how to mentally and physically garden I’ve always seen hints of your spiritual side. I thought that wasn’t why I was binging on your videos! But now I get it!! I myself am not religious but I am spiritual. Ty for reminding me to watch KISS THE GROUND! It’s everything I avoid because I only let happy things in until now! I had been planning my garden for 3 years while I was practically bed ridden. As I began to be a bit mobile I began a garden! I fell in love!! My garden yielded a decent amount of veggies for a 3 8×4 beds and miscellaneous plantings in the ground. I use no till method because I couldn’t physically dig out my perfect lawn and not because I knew better. But I do now! Oh, did I mention I was born in Manhattan NYC and moving to NJ was a huge shock for my family. I married and have 4 children 26 years later! Fast forward still married, still have the kids all grown but I finally now have my garden!! I get it! I also understand now at 53 what it takes to feel like I have something that’s all my own. The garden is mine. I didn’t know my family would pitch in, because I didn’t ask for anything. So now I ask and wait and receive!! Huge for me to ask! Anyone even God! And I thank you and your amazing children for helping to open my mind and heart to my dream!! I’m a loyal follower of yours! May God bless you all!! Thank you from my heart ❤️
The last time I had a real tree, it took 3 hours for us to decorate. It was stunning and smelled magnificent, and all was well. The next morning, THOUSANDS of teeny baby spiders had hatched from somewhere in the branches. Their hatching sprayed drops of sap all over my beautiful decorations, and the spiders were everywhere. The same tree that took 3 hours to decorate was naked and in the front yard in 3 minutes flat! Never again. Now, I have an artificial tree that is of the fluffier type I like (like a scotch pine instead of a sprangly douglas fir), the tree is consistent, and I can adjust the branches as needed. No spiders, no drying out, no needlessly killing a tree, no disposal, no watering, no needle drop, and I can leave it up as long as I want. No hate for people who want to put up with real trees, but I love my artificial one!

Real trees are sprayed with tons of pesticides! https://medium.com/center-for-biological-diversity/are-christmas-trees-sprayed-with-pesticides-67d832f8556d
