This video is of Tim and Maddy Harland’s beautiful no dig permaculture kitchen garden in Hapmshire UK. Tim and Maddy are the founders of the fantastic @Permaculture Magazine and have a tranquil vegetable garden, meadow and food forest at their home that has been maturing for 25 years! I hope that this is a prime example of what can be achieved in a relatively small space, and that you don’t always have to follow the norms when it comes to growing your own food.
No dig gardening is a wonderful method of growing food as it brings a whole host of benefits. Not only are you saving time and effort in the garden, you’re also improving the health of your soil and as a result, the health of your plants. I love the geometry that Maddy and Tim have with their triangle shaped raised beds, as well as a big emphasis on vertical gardening and permaculture principles.

Let's talk dirty. Most of the things we grow in our gardens is low calory food. Like vegetables. What's the plan for all the stuff we use every day and need for feeding the world, like wheat, lentils….
Thank you for making this great video. your garden looks amazing, and if I my add. the garden looks like it removes stress from a persons life. just watching it I personally thought wow a cup of coffee in the morning watching the sun come up Sitting in your garden.. how amazing that must feel.

this is beautiful! it reminds me of tek (traditional ecological knowledge) and it's honestly so refreshing to see this kind of thing happening with people working WITH the rest of nature instead of against it. this is great ๐
Love your stuff kick on love it
I love your garden. So beautiful! I am all envy. ๐ Not much of a green thumb myself but getting better. I've made our teeny tiny garden into a wildlife garden, that already made a difference.
