  1. Hi Becky , not sure ,if this is what you had in mind but homestead heart, March 21st 21, she has a promo and review of a nice looking dehydrator, maybe ya wanna check it out….she has a pretty nice channel.. I remember You said you were looking for another dehydrator

  2. I slice my leeks lengthwise but not all the way thru the leek only to the middle. This cuts down on having to wash it twice. I also freeze my leeks in snack bags and then put them in a large freezer bag is it gives me individual servings and it helps with freezer burn.

  3. I'm really loving your channel! It's nice to find someone so close to my age for a change. I'll be 30 this summer and I think you said your early 30's yourself too. It's also nice to see someone without a huge family doing this too. And you know a lot but are still happily learning too. I find your great at explaining things as well.

  4. I’ve got white onions in my dehydrator right now. I’m enjoying making my own onion powder out of them. I just harvested a bunch of tomatoes so I’m going to dehydrate a bunch and then store them in a jar with olive oil.

  5. Becky, I don't know if you rad about this or not. Heather was in a car accident the night before Valentines Day. She unfortunately lost her husband. She and their 2small owners were injured sent to different hospitals..They are all home and having much therapy. Heather loves when you watch her video 's and cannot wait to start up again. Givr her a shout out . Heather @ the Kneady Homesteader

  6. Maybe a small outdoor sink/counter for prepping veg before they come in the house. The drain for the outside sink can go into a bucket and poured back into the planting beds. This way all that dirt is not going into your drain. Just a thought maybe for the future. Great job on the leeks.

  7. Yesterday I took all the tarragon out of the garden and made tarragon salt with it. The rest went into the dehydrator. I didn’t get that much, maybe two cups of the salt, but I am hoping for another harvest before winter. Zone 5b here. I have just one row of leeks and I can’t wait to get them into the pantry. Thanks for this. I actually like the idea of freezing them as well for leek and potato soup in the dead of winter. Isn’t it so satisfying to preserve it all?

  8. I can’t understand how to keep leak in my garden in this area. They are almost all eaten by animals around here I didn’t get to pick a single one 🙁

How long shall they be in the ground abs growing for?

  9. I learn so much from you. I have obviously heard of leeks but I really have never eaten them or really knew anything about them. Now I want to go try some. It’s not at all what I had thought they were.
