  1. I had no idea you could make your own brown sugar, or that it is this easy. Wow. Just made some today and I am amazed! How neat, thank you for sharing! Love watching your videos and trying new things out!

  2. I just add in the molasses with the wet ingredients when I'm baking so I don't even have to store the brown sugar. I just make it on the fly so nothing to store or potentially harden later. Been doing this for years as well. We buy sugar by the 50lbs and molasses by the gallon, so this is very economical.

  3. I'm 38 and I had NO idea brown sugar was just molasses and white sugar. I've always loved the taste of it more and I love eating molasses raw… but I had no idea lol.

  4. I can't believe I've been wasting so much money on brown sugar for so many years! Who knew I've always had the ingredients right in my pantry 🙂 Thank you, I really enjoy all your videos.

  5. I did this recently because the price of brown sugar is ridiculous, where as molasses isnt that expensive considering how much brown sugar you can make with it. BUT, it also smells weird. It doesnt smell like what I buy from the grocery store, it smells like molasses. Im okay with it, and Ill do it again, but I think Ill try a different molasses.

  6. I made this with a little bit of molasses I had in my pantry from my oatmeal molasses bread recipe. I like it but since using it my cookie recipes aren't quite turning out. I don't know if it's the sugar or something else but I've started just using it for oats. Still great!

  7. Might I say that I only found your videos this past week & I love what you’re doing. You’re bringing me back to my high school home economics class…do schools even teach that anymore, lol? Not to sound condescending, but I’m really proud of you! You’re a class act! I’m looking forward to seeing more of your work. ❤️
