How BRAVE!!!! And how spiritual you are Patara!!! Love you and your videos!!! Best homestead Mama on youtube!!!
What a woman. Girl you got it.
I know that black snakes love them some quail. We had some quail runs where we were fattening up some quail for release. Seems snakes were quite happy about that! We removed them (quail in stomach) and took them quite far away from the area and released them. Turns out that black snakes have their very own GPS system … who knew ~8^) You need to put up signage that says: Todays menu …. rats and mice only! Take care you guys.
Oh, heck no! I just can't. Fire, lots of fire and I'd be packing.
Hahahaha, i had a possum in my fireplace, i called 911 and the lady was just as freaked out as i was, she said STAY AWAY FROM IT!!!
What incubator do you use I’ve been looking at buying one for the last few months and cannot decide because so many of them are unnamed or unbranded!!! HELP lol ❤️ you!
Your right cause I had a copper head in my yard and yes I was barefoot too . Didn't do that again. My son killed it. And everyone thought it was a corn snake but it was patterned. Then my son thought he was being funny chasing me with it.And yes my deathly sacred of snake. So I thrower a stick over my son's head. So I told him too stop or he would be knocked out. Lol he instantly.
No stinkin way!!! I can't even stand when I see an Eastern Milk Snake around here. I give it to you Southern Belles. I would be Outta There! ha ha
We were gone one day and came home to find all my husband's chickens were dead. Neighbors dog!! About 15 chickens. I know that dog had never seen chickens and thought that was just a fun kind of game.
Snakes are creepy. We've got dangerous ones here in AZ. Scary stuff
Law. Ypu are so brave. I. Hate. Snakes
I have to tell you now. Your mom and you are. Elegant. And. Pretty. Thank you FOR showing women female's not all the same
Ah, Springtime. We dispatched a copperhead in our garage a few days back. Went to get it out, with a hoe, and my daughter said "Its lookin at me". Turns out there was a Male & Female in there! She was full of eggs too! Be careful, cause when you think it's only one it could be more. And just so you know, if it was non venomous snakes, they would have been spared and relocated.
If you watch NKFherping, you'll see that rat snakes (or black snakes as some call them) are living with copperhead. These guys are on YouTube and just go out to show people the different types of snakes and reptiles in the wild. They laid out a bunch of car hoods and look under them. Almost every hood had black racers, rat snakes, and copperhead living together. We use mouse bait and ferral cats for the mice, frogs, moles, and skinks. As long as a snake stays in the field past our barn, it gets a pass. When it comes to the house and barn, it has to go. Had 1 today laying on a compost pile waiting to eat the chicken eggs in one of our pens. They're only up at the house and barn at our place for the wild birds, chicks, eggs, and baby rabbits. He/she will be back, my husband used to relocate them but they'd come back if they got a meal. Stay safe, enjoy your channel.
Patara you crack me up!!! No, that wasn’t a black rat snake, they are really dark upper and white belly. It looks like it could be a king snake, but honestly I don’t know. Funny story we were coming back home from walking our blue tick and had gone out the front door but my husband had the garage open too. I said I’ll go around and go in the front to lock the door and you go in the garage and shut it. Well!! I walked around to the front door and lord have mercy there was a huge black rat snake over 6’. I’m not scared of snakes but my husband is!! Of course, he wanted to do it in, but I dissuaded him! I’ll have to go on your facebook page and send you a video of Sadie Mae and the snake in the side light windows of the front door! It was a hoot!
I was out watering today and went over by my honeysuckle, and we have a huge buried tank, so there is big round cap with a finger hole to pull it up.. as I was walking by a young snake popped up.well I wont be lifting
That up I will leave that for hubby! That was a big snake you got !!
Anything that terrorizes my critters will not get a third chances. That goes for two or four legged creatures. I am grateful to have had very few altercations with venomous snakes. I understand that all creatures have a purpose, but if it is a danger, ..the end!
Your 1 tuff cookie ! I would've fainted like a scared GOAT got all stiff and fell clean over !!!
Nope! Nope! Nope! I call our local snake loving facebook group and they come take it far away for me. Far far away. I have 1/4 inch hardware cloth in all my animal areas to keep critters out,, but they do show up on other parts of my property. Not a fan!
You are an inspiration!!!
Yes, get your new orchard started. Beautiful location!
Was out feeding my chickens and saw the neighbors dog tracks in my yard. So I don't have quail anymore, but the chickens and the turkeys could be at risk. No chicken dinner for them. I live in town and the dogs seem to be the biggest threat.
Thank the Lord that we don't have snakes in Hawaii. You are BRAVE girlfriend. I would have blown that thing to smithereens.
